- New revelations surfaced Wednesday about a domestic incident at former Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson’s house, and how officers were alerted to it.
Sources said the domestic incident involved fire and underwear.
As CBS 2’s Suzanne Le Mignot reported, police sources with knowledge of the investigation said former Supt. Johnson was burning his wife’s underwear on a bed inside their Bridgeport home. We have been told he used an aerosol can to ignite the fire.
Our sources tell us he pushed his wife away when she tried to stop him. That’s when she called a commander at Area Two.
This whole debacle continuously calls into question every single management decision this dumbass ever made.

I’ve been saying this for the past few years. Each time some I tell a fellow officer this as I see them scrolling thru it on their phone, or Twitter- they say “I just go on it to look at funny videos or see how my friends are or get my news.” We got by for how long without social media? It either does 2 things: suppresses information or makes you more extreme in your ideas. That’s all any of it simply does! We’ve made billionaires out of these people - allowing them to control our information and thoughts. GTFO of ALL OF THEM! I remember life before them, just a mere 12 years ago and life was better. It was not so isolating, so extreme, so suppressed! Live life off social media..,that includes Google- it feeds you information that it wants you to hear. Tune out not in is safer now! Every time you click on these sites, you make them richer and yourself a little more bought and sold.

Hi SCC. I work as a nurse at one of the hospitals downtown. Can’t say which because I don’t want to get myself in trouble but I don’t know where else to post this. Is your union keeping you and the other officers updated on covid numbers among uniformed personnel? We’ve seen a rash of intakes among cops into our covid unit this past week. Not just one or two but literally dozens, and more than one has said they were asked by leadership *not* to report their symptoms or get tested because the department wanted the numbers to stay low. Whether this was for reporting or for morale or just p.r., no one seems to know. One intake said they were told by their superior (I believe it was a lieutenant) not to wear a mask while on duty because "it might scare the public." Again, I don’t know if this is true but it is what I was told.
From one frontline worker to another, please stay safe and stay healthy, officers. This city needs you more than ever. I know you are all doing the best you can, and from the bottom of my heart I thank you. God bless you and your families.

Hi SCC. I work as a nurse at one of the hospitals downtown. Can’t say which because I don’t want to get myself in trouble but I don’t know where else to post this. Is your union keeping you and the other officers updated on covid numbers among uniformed personnel? We’ve seen a rash of intakes among cops into our covid unit this past week. Not just one or two but literally dozens, and more than one has said they were asked by leadership *not* to report their symptoms or get tested because the department wanted the numbers to stay low. Whether this was for reporting or for morale or just p.r., no one seems to know. One intake said they were told by their superior (I believe it was a lieutenant) not to wear a mask while on duty because "it might scare the public." Again, I don’t know if this is true but it is what I was told.
From one frontline worker to another, please stay safe and stay healthy, officers. This city needs you more than ever. I know you are all doing the best you can, and from the bottom of my heart I thank you. God bless you and your families.

The number of cops out sick with Covid is astronomical since Halloween weekend when they canceled everyone’s days of and packed them in busses and vans all the way past Election Day. The medical section can’t even answer the phone. After finally making contact they said they are overwhelmed trying to keep up. Myself along with 8 others all tested positive after sitting on the same bus during this period. I can only imagine how many are sick citywide. Someone should FOIA this and do a report on it. So much for stopping the spread. PS..no contract for you.

He wasn’t charged with any crime - so of course he’s getting a pension. Which makes this story even more ridiculous. Between the two of those fools, they easily rake in 350k a year. Neither of them is wanting for anything other than some friggin’ common sense. So please tell me some more tales of systemic racism.
