Guess What Night it Is?

Do you know where your car is? Are you sure?

  • Can you park there? It’s the time of year when you need to think twice about claiming that open spot on the street.

The city’s winter overnight parking ban begins Tuesday, Dec. 1, prohibiting parking on 107 miles of main streets from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. — regardless of snow — until April 1, 2021. Another 500 miles of streets prohibit parking after two inches of snow or more falls, no matter the time of day or the date.

So does Groot's ban of Parking Restrictions mean this year isn't going to be enforced? We'd usually bet on 100-to-120 tows overnight, but now we aren't so sure.

So will cars owned by people of color be excluded from the tows?

Anyone want to explain why the plow and salt trucks were out tonight?

Funny how they only care about cars parked downtown, so they get plowed but what about the neighborhood where we all pay high taxes and these dumbasses park where they shouldn't be, no tickets, no tows nothing but big snow mounds that eventually turn icy in the street cause people cant read the signs or just don't care. Wish my neighborhood would get cleaned and plowed as well as the Wrigleyville streets do!

Positive that towing crews will make surprise 3 a.m. stops across Roosevelt, Madison, Jackson, Chicago, Cottage Grove, Stony Island, etc...

01 December 1958

The saddest day in Chicago history.

Survivors walk among, may your heart be light.

It educated and set protocols around the world.

RIP, NEVER FORGOTTEN

Expect 110% enforcement in the 'economically privileged' neighborhoods and ZERO in the communerty.

In the near future, police will only be employed to collect taxes and fines.

In the past, the districts have 2-3 cars for snow tows. With the manpower shortage, are they still providing that support?

It’s Snow Tow time again. Let’s see how many shooting this produces.

Vehicles with BLM stickers will not be towed. Snow is usually white, so let me guess, it would be racist.

My truck and my jeep are parked in my yard. But I live way out in "flyover country".
I really can't imgaine living in a city, a bad city or even a good city. Too many people and wild animals way too close.

I don't mind the possums eating the dog food on the porch, they don't bother nobody. :)

I feel for you dudes and family living in Chicago. I'd say you're crazy, the money must be good, but is it worth it?

And after decades of use, the building STILL had NO sprinklers, until the Unions got involved to install them (!) because they weren't STILL weren't required by the Building and Fire Codes! https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/our-lady-of-angels-school-fire-new-sprinkler-system-dedicated-at-site-of-tragic-fire/ar-BB19Nqjv

To the survivors and families of the lost: There are no words to take away your pain, your fear, your loss, your questioning of why this was allowed to happen, or why some survived when others did not. We can only imagine how you feel. We stand silently beside you on this day.

My prediction is zero tows and zero tickets. Don't screw the citizens and give Groot access to all the incoming revenue.

Wanna bet there was quota in these difficult and challenging times?
012 used to be easy pickings on Fri/Sat night when bars were allowed open.
S&S had a system. They’d yank a car off the street, drop it a block or two away go back to Madison hook another while the other was trotted out to an empty holding lot before a third truck hiked it off to Lower Wacker Pound.

By the end of the month per the DC, the CAPS was putting Auto Thefts special attentions in the CO book.

After forgibbing over $11 million in community vehicle related fines, Larri’s generosity aint about to be extended no’more, actually it prolly never was granted in that particular zip code(s).

Good thing the fraudulent pua unemployment system, Deloitte (which happens to be located in the same building as Pritzker’s investment group and got a no bid contract to create this mess), has not paid me or contacted me to fix this issue and I no longer own a car! It’s really hard to make repairs when you do not have money. Now I don’t have a car so no need to worry about tickets! I can’t even drive Uber eats so no worries of car jackings either! What a great city / state I live in! Luckily I live near a third rail if things get much worse. Thanks to new restrictions I have few choices left. If unemployment does come through I may be able to afford one of these freshly impounded vehicles at city auction!!

And no turn-style jumping on your way to the final pissing of your pants. There is no pity in Groot City.
