The New Media
We don't know if or how the CWB blog is making money to support their operations, but those folks over there are earning it this summer. Some of their headlines from over the weekend:
Man fatally stabbed on Uptown street corner Saturday evening
Man shot while riding bike after ‘at least’ 50 rounds are fired on Near North Side
Crowd ‘kinda stomped’ suspected gunman after overnight shooting near South Loop nightclub
Driver carjacked on Andersonville, Uptown border as hijacking cases uptick in July
Their coverage has expanded far beyond the Wrigleyville/Boystown area and they aren't shying away from providing readers with accurate descriptions of offenders, areas to be extra careful in and not shying away from outlining the failures of Crimesha/Prickwrinkle/Evans/Dart enablers.
They are beating the crap out of the mainstream media seven days a week and they deserve a whole lot more credit than we could give them.

Yeah. CWB Chicago is amazing. They don't shy away from any stories, and they'll follow through with the status of stories that they've already published.
They are what every news organization should strive to be.

Yeah but CWB refuses to endorse a candidate for any elections, so what’s the point, you just spinning your wheels. The average person in this city and county are stupid. If you don’t tell them who to vote for they will elect the same democrat over and over; yes the definition of insanity….
Lame stream media is fading into obscurity has any station reported on mayor bj keeping his promise to unencrypt the radio calls and not having press conferences on crime?
CWB Chicago is the only news I trust. They are truly doing it and I read their stories daily.
They are excellent. Read a story in the MSN and then read CWB. You get so much more information and you get information that the MSN doesn't want to publish.
This explains why the Fibune and Slum Times are about as thick as the sale flyer for Jewel.

I never paid much attention to CWB because I’m not from that area. After you guys had to go dark I started really following them and their great work. It’s nice to have you both back and I hope that CWB continues to grow and never shy away from the actual news reporting that they do.

Thank you Dan RUSTENKOWSKI, for screwing that up for all of us that are retired. My pension is not that great, but I do try to send CWB a few dollars every 4 or 5 months. The good news is that there is a bill gaining steam in congress to overturn this asinine law.
CWB is a great source, but they are crybays going woke on Twitter. I was blocked for stating fact - Like not much "diversity" in the offenders.

This blog was started by residents of Wrigleyville and Boystown, calling out the lies from the city that crime was down in their neighborhoods and questioning Police manpower. It however has expanded to other neighborhoods. There is some sarcasm in some articles, however; it appears to me, that this sites only objective is to report factual information without political bias. Hence, they will never back a candidate for Government. They don’t even attribute articles to individuals, it’s all CWB.

I get the same email from them about how they continue to get new "sponsor's" for the bill. This has been going on for YEARS. Then at the end of the email they ask for, yep, Im sure you guessed right, a donation, to you know, help them stay in the fight. All bullshit, its not getting done and they are just fundraising and fucking us at the same time.
I pay for content on two sites... John Kass and CWB.
I want to see them both survive. And if they THRIVE, so much the better.
Absolutely and thanks for reminding me to renew. Between CWB and SCC being back maybe we’ll be more informed on what going on. Kass also deserves props. News media is worthless.
