- Chief Judge Evans got rid of the after hours duty judge and never notified [law enforcement]?
So the "forty-eight hour" rule has just been trimmed down to what?
You arrest anyone after the AM Court Call.
The State doesn't approve charges or designates a Continuing Investigation before Court the next morning (twenty-four hours).
If the Detectives aren't be able to jump through all the hoops Crimesha's people put in front of them, now there isn't a duty judge available after business hours?
Have you ever tried to get a prisoner on the AM transport van when there's even a sniff of a forty-eight hour deadline? It doesn't happen unless there's a Duty Judge signature on a time stamped piece of paper and even then, it's a crap shoot with County accepting the prisoner.
And Evans just got rid of the overnight Duty Judges? How about Prickwrinkle lay off a few dozen judges now that they're unavailable?

There should be plenty of judges, ASAs & PDs that can be cut as the defendants who posted no bond will fail to show up. They will dismiss their cases as the SAO will not issue warrants for these people. Too much trouble. But this is what they want, keeping people out of the system. Also what court works an eight hour day?
When we worked nights in the DD and had occasion to need the night bond court judge at 11th & State, you would go there and cool your heels waiting for a judge and the clerk would say, oh the judge will be back soon. One time we had an out of state victim that was victimized and she IDed the mope from a photo spread. She was flying out of Chicago in a few hours and time was of the essence so we sailed down to night bond court with her. The clerk gave us the same old bs the judge will be back soon. So we through a $?!t fit. The clerk melted and gave up the judge which we found at a Gold Coast watering hole. He was very surprised but what could he say. He swore her in with with a cocktail in his hand and signed the warrant never putting the drink down. After we got away from there the victim asked if this was common place. My partner said this is Cook County anything is possible! The judges used to rotate thru that court.
Don’t get up set. It’s only a job. Do the best you can. That’s all we can do. We have no control over anything. Do your time and move away. It’s not like this everywhere. People are coming to this realization every day. Every civilization went through hard ships caused by the ruling class. Chicago, Cook County and the State of Illinois is being destroyed by the Democratic Party. For any one who reads this and is a Democrat voter; I hope you live to be a hundred and stay in here.

So I used to work for cook county department of corrections, working a tier by myself. I hang out with alot of judges. Judge Joe Brown,Judge Judy,they are on tv but still counts. Anyway when I choose to show up for work after being at my trailer park down south, I have to deal with this in lockup.My guys in tact always get the smelliest warrants for me because they like me. If that clock strikes time. I gotta let them go. After my 27th smoke break of course. Cough cough uh oh sounds like my 50th bout with covid better call off. cheers!

Yes that is the democratic plan. It is not incompetence, but an intentional destruction of the pillars of society so after it all crashes down, they can rebuild it using the socialist framework. I thought that the Federal courts require a hearing within 48 hours.

Let’s be fair here, Snelling don’t have to prey on anyone. They were throwing it at him. He’s easy in the eyes. An even exchange isn’t robbery.

A few more years of this letting the bangers out on the street may actually lead to some self-cleaning oven action. Think of how many of the devil's spawn have been laid to rest in the last two years. The ASA office won't prosecute them, the courts won't sentence them, what else are we supposed to do?
I hate the looters, and the shoplifters, and all the drug dealers. I also hate addicts for the decisions that they have made which ultimately society has to deal with. I hate the teen flash mobs (Demons) and the havoc they wreak on joe citizen, and the store keepers.
This will likely worsen throughout BJ's term and continue on long after that. Chicago is on a course that no one would have believed several years ago, and I don't see how to make people wake up and stop it. Especially the courts, the prosecutors, and the politicians.

POs and Sgts., except a desk sergeant, have no need to know about how the duty judge process works. It is the responsibility of the WOL and the desk sgt. They need to be aware of the time in custody and have to make notifications to take a case to a duty judge. Although I would recommend reading the order for detectives and sergeants tests.
If there is no cash bail what do we need bond court judges for?

Trainer’s shouldn’t bone trainees, it’s not rocket science why that’s a bad idea on several levels.
And fine, if you’re gonna do it, do it.
But it should preclude you from making an entire career out of it, and then becoming the damn superintendent.
