Two people were also fatally stabbed, police said.
HeyJackass.com - the only legit source for statistics - has the numbers at 7 dead, 33 wounded, so there's a minor discrepancy somewhere in the tracking. But October is really finishing strong this year.

Last week, Officer Williams and Officer Jordan Poulos took a road trip to "crash" the Chicago Law Enforcement Hiring Expo last Friday to represent BPD.
"More people were shocked than anything. They weren’t expecting Florida to be there. But I think we made a really good showing. It picked up a lot of buzz," said Officer Poulos.
BRADENTON, Fla. - Two officers from the Bradenton Police Department took a road trip to Chicago last week to recruit officers as part of Governor Ron DeSantis' $5,000 Law Enforcement signing bonus initiative.
Since its inception in the summer of 2022, it has successfully issued 3,350 bonuses to out-of-state recruitments. One of those recruits was BPD Officer Kevin Williams, who came from New York.
Officer Williams worked for NYPD and volunteered as a firefighter.

Our weekend runs a little longer than the official CPD weekend. Applying the CPD's timeframe to our tally yields the same result - 35 shot, 4 fatally, plus two additional non-shooting homicides.

Most costs are lower so the pay goes farther... At least they're funding a pension... Who likes their boss anywhere? Every boss has some BS that comes up from time-to-time - so long as there's a paycheck, nod and wave... whatever.
Believe me - once you're out of Hellinois in a Red State - things are much better. Criminals held accountable, politicians aren't nearly as insane (they have their moments, but aren't nearly as bad as Illinois spendthrifts), roads are better... blood pressure dropped by 10 points from not having to deal with traffic!

True but home costs in Florida are horrible now. And Florida has it's pockets of do nothing blue state / criminal loving ASA's and judges. Stay away from Orange County, Florida and other blue areas. Useless and corrupt sheriff, worthless easy on crime judges. The past state's attorney was hammered by DeSantis for being a do nothing criminal loving slime.
