This is a regular occurrence on the assorted security details:
- Brandon Johnson has only been Chicago’s mayor for five months, but he
is already outperforming his predecessors by one metric: His SUVs are racking up red light and speed camera violations faster than any of them.
Since taking the keys to City Hall, the black SUVs that Chicago cops drive him around town in have racked up an impressive 11 moving violations, according to records reviewed by CWBChicago. That’s about one ticket every two weeks. One of the SUVs picked up a parking ticket earlier this month, too.
Over the years, we’ve told you about motorcade tickets racked up by Rahm Emanuel, Lori Lightfoot, and Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle. But none of them accrued violations as prodigiously as Johnson.
The mayor’s drivers went next level on September 1 by getting a red light ticket on one of his cars and, 65 minutes later, getting a speeding ticket on another.

We try very hard not to get red light or speeding camera tickets because we don't like giving our money away. For these guys to get one ticket every two weeks.....well, let's hope they don't get into an accident getting a politician around town. It would be hard to explain with that driving record.

Who pays the ticket? The driver or the mayor? Can you get reimbursed for the cost?
OT, read the police board findings for October, interesting reading. Some of the POs actually got some justice, no thanks to
Foreman, Wolff and Eaddy, the hardcore Assholes on the board. Most interesting reading was the case involving MD at MAU. There are some truly despicable supervisors at MAU.
That’s what happens when you have a progressive liberal mayor. His people and folks are always on the go, but don’t worry the taxpayers will be on the hook for anything that is paid but since he is in charge, no one will pay at least Emmanuel paid part of his campaign, fund-and bragging about it. With these gas hogging 6000 pound vehicles they run into somebody somebody’s really going to get hurt or killed due to the storm troopers driving like that. I guess they have the attitude they can do whatever they want and they can Democrats do whatever they want never are held accountable, they ruined everything wait a minute I thought they were going to go green the democratic mantra why are they driving these gas hogging vehicles just asking
This has always kinda bothered me. I've had friends & neighbors complain that the police get to go thru red-lights and speed but they can't nonsense. I explained how we're trained to drive cautiously and that we are always in pursuit of the bad guy, looking out for crimes that are about to/are in process of/have occur(ed)(ing), and to help others. But I'm thinki to myself it's one of reasons I got on was to drive really fast fast lights & sirens:D so yes, if they want to whip those big suv's thru the Chicago streets or e-ways, just do so safely (we are trainedin suv maneuvers or atleastwe were. I know I was and hold/held fastest suv course time in winter snow)! Laughable but he is now in an elevated position and not everyone likes him thus making him a potential target for any nut job like the window breaking jb (f u jb) hater soooo drive fast homie (Kanye west)

I'm sure if someone asks him about all the tickets his response will be the cars are getting all those tickets because he is a black man with a black wife and black kids. After all, he uses this reasoning for everything else.
Wait until they hit a family coming home from work/school, or a mother, father going to work, etc..lets see who will be responsible then. Trust me, if one of these fucking drivers hit me...i will take this city to the cleaners.

It's 2024 nearly, how long are we going to use race as an excuse as a population? Give it a rest, you blew through lights/speed because you're late or just don't care. Watching game of thrones right now, we need to hold EVERYONE accountable, starting from the top. FOP, if you're reading this and had anyone issued discipline over red lights or speeding, here's your "just following the mayor's lead" excuse!

Can we put this in perspective real quick. Mayor BJ has 141 officers assigned to his mayor detail now. Can u let that sink in for a minute. 141. Is that not insane!! On a good day we send 20 officers out on our watch. That’s filling all our beat cars, on a really good day. If u times it by 3 watches, that would be 60 officers to cover a district that has a couple hundred thousand people. That’s 60 officers to police and handle a couple hundred thousand residents. The mayor, ONE person, has 141 officers JUST FOR HIM! Holy shit!! How is this possible and allowed? How many sergeants, Lts are working there? It’s become bigger than some districts. 141 officers x about $100k a year = 14,100,000 of our tax dollars spent to guard ONE man. To put it in perspective, Rahm had 16 officers. That is not a misprint. 16. WTF is going on here.

How did they get a parking ticket??? The connected are supposed to be in the computer and exempt when the plate is run.
