The community really lays into the politicians, reminding them who they actually work for and warning them of consequences. You can see why president potato's people think there's a problem.
We wish we could say it'll stick, but we know there isn't much that is shorter than the memory of a Chicago democrat voter, and these neighborhoods went 70-and-more percent for Biden. Hell, they went 80% for Shrillary, so color us doubtful they'll remember anything fourteen months from now.

I used to work for cook county department of corrections.I cant even smoke outside without some immigrant on a stolen divey bike giving me a dirty look. I only watched the Amundsen Park meeting. A little boisterous but wouldn’t you be mad as hell if you got the word that the illegals were going to be planted in your neighborhood? The city did not canvass neighborhoods to see if anyone wanted these illegals. Good for these people to protest. If they announce that this is coming to your neighborhood will your neighbors protest? The politicians will put the illegals where there is the least path of resistance.
These aldermen need to stand up to Mayor Brandon Johnson, who has stated he is going to facilitate the welcoming of more of the migrants because this is a Sanctuary City, by voting in the City Council to end Chicago’s Sanctuary status. They need to do this quickly and the taxpayers need to back a movement to recall Johnson as he is definitely out of touch on how to govern a city. The same should be done with aldermen who have their heads in the sand.
The city is in a downward spiral with businesses leaving, commercial real estate vacant, the City’s finances are unstable, street crime is rampant and the police are unable to deal with it because of the roadblocks the radical left Democrats have inflicted on it. With just some of problems listed and the incompetence of those governing they want to bring in more problems that they can’t at all handle.
The migrants have shown they are going to be a problem. Why should we be paying for this and for us to be forced to take them in to our neighborhoods. This was never put on a referendum.
And now with Hamas attacking Israel yesterday they are urging Islamic nations to attack. It is known that some terrorists have gained entry to the US and it is unknown where they can be. We have people living here whom we don’t of their backgrounds. The migrants need to be deported or sent to the seat of government, Washington DC, so the politicians will wake up as to what they are doing to the country. Put the tent camps on the Mall between the Capitol and the White House.
Here’s hoping that the people get it good and hard and hopefully they will wake the fuck up action’s come with consequences and some are painful

I worked SDI the other day and we had to keep an eye on the illegal shelter at Michigan and Ohio. What my partner and i witness is a mercedes that pulls up and several females (illegals) come out with what looks like "prom dresses" out of the vehicle as they were dropped off and they head into the shelter...wtf is that all about??? We run the plate and it came back to 22nd street. Hmmmm

In the late 1970s groups of Iranian students (not your regular kind of college students) were here working to overthrow the Shah of Iran’s regime. The ones that I encountered were active along the lakefront districts (old A/6). They were intent on getting their political message out by spray painting buildings and cars with their political beliefs. When they were stopped they would not have driver’s licenses. And when you did stop them you knew you were going to encounter a lot of resistance physically. One night in a northside station a couple of them came in to demand the release of one of their friends. When the police wouldn’t release him the donnybrook began. Soon others began piling in as they must have been in the area. The donnybrook ended the old fashion way with the police victorious.
So at that time there wasn’t much of an intelligence factor with the police department nor the city. But months later the Iran hostage crisis came about when 52 US Diplomats and citizens were taken hostage from the US Embassy in Tehran and were held for 444 days. After that it was understood why we had so much trouble with those people.
The point is we have no idea with whom they let into the country. And in spite of this terrorist attack, unknown people are piling in with no end to it. With the restraints they have put on the police they, local up to federal government, have made this country and the jobs of LEOs extremely dangerous. Stay safe.

Amid all the confusion at our border, at least one question with national security and public safety implications has gone almost entirely unexamined: We’re told that those who enter our country illegally are “vetted” before they’re released into our communities, but what does this mean?
Not much.
Since President Biden took office, the Department of Homeland Security has released an estimated 2 million migrants into the U.S. after minimal “processing.” This means taking their photos and fingerprints, entering (unverifiable) names and birth dates, running this data through U.S. law enforcement and immigration databases, and creating an immigration file if a prior one isn’t found.
Some of those who are released get a “notice to appear” at a future immigration court hearing to argue why they shouldn’t be removed from the U.S. for being here illegally. But when overwhelmed, DHS has simply released them with a “notice to report” to their nearest Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office, where they can later get the “notice to appear” and start that slow legal ball rolling. In a small number of cases, ICE tracks them or asks them to check in via phone every so often.
As for “vetting,” in immigration terms it should mean making sure each unknown migrant isn’t a known terrorist, and doesn’t have a criminal record, contagious disease, or prior immigration violation. This is important, since those currently being released will be our neighbors for a long time, given immigration court and USCIS backlogs.
However, DHS agents can only check crime and terrorism databases from the U.S. or some allies. That doesn’t include most of the countries the current wave is coming from. There aren’t many Canadians walking across the Rio Grande, but plenty of Russians and Chinese are.
