$3.5 Million in Blow

And walking around, free as a bird:

  • A man allegedly found carrying $3.5 million worth of cocaine in his luggage at Chicago Midway International Airport was released to await trial by a judge, who told him to stay in Illinois and show up to court. Terrence Slaughter, 55, was arrested at Midway on October 24, the 16th anniversary of the day a federal judge sentenced him to 15.67 years for stealing guns from a retired cop and intentionally selling them to gang members, according to court records.

Chicago police said Slaughter gave investigators consent to search his two roller bags at Midway shortly before 2 p.m. last Tuesday. Cops found 12 vacuum-sealed bags of suspected cocaine in one bag and 11 sealed bags of suspected cocaine in the other, documents accompanying the criminal complaint said. Altogether, the investigators recovered 62 pounds of suspected cocaine with a street value of $3,518,125, according to the complaint.

How's that "no cash bail" working out for you?

It certainly makes the cartel clean-up operations easier.

How many of those 62 pounds of cocaine will actually be incinerated 3 years from now when the cases are all closed because Terrence is never heard from again?

Think of how many times he got away with it before he got caught. Not his first rodeo.

Maybe the judge did the taxpayers a favor in this case.

What's the over/under on this guy making it to court alive?

These mother fuckers are so emboldened by the lax laws in Illinois that they brazenly carry out their crimes, one upon another, upon another, knowing nothing judicially will happen to him. We are so fucked in this State with democRats running everything.

62 pounds of coke in his checked luggage?

He has to be a drug dealer to afford all the luggage charges.

I bet Slaughter wished the judge would have set a high bond, now he has to worry if he even makes it to trial.

Slaughter will never appear in court as his suppliers have a death warrant on him for losing all that dope. He’s gone with the wind.
Here is another good one from CWB:

“Fake IDs, bogus license plates, and no home addresses show how little officials know about migrants arrested in Chicago”

These two Judges, Robert Kuzas & William Fahy need to be called out for not holding unknown migrants in custody. They are gone with the wind also.

Pritzker was worried about all the millionaires being unfairly able to 'buy' their way out of county.

He was right - sort of.

The Millionaires are able to bypass county - but this guy didn't even have to put any skin in the game.

Yo know what would have hurt him? Putting up $1M bond, that would have hurt him.

Liberals can't govern.

Ok no cash bail the judge could of easily held him no bail, why was this not immediately federally charged? Thought airports were under the feds? would this not be interstate transport of illegal substance? where is the breakdown here? Just like the illegals who get that promise to appear and are in the wind does anyone think this guy will actually show up in court? Come on man! Or maybe they are hoping the cartels do their thing eliminating the problem!

This must be one of the minority criminals the bail law was made to protect. This guy can not have his cocaine money tied up in court.

The suspect was reportedly able to fly back to a third world nation while on "no cash bail" and return with 7 million dollars of cocaine...

The "continuum" of supply and demand balance was almost immediately restored...for those who were concerned, there will be enough cocaine around for the holiday season in Chicago.

Chicago's 21st century Potemkin style policing failure.

Dressing people up in military styled costumes to invoke fear into the populace to "obey the law" attempting to create an illusion to law abiding citizens "that they are safe" no longer working. Social democrats have reduce the police to what amounts to meter maids/report takers. Here's your ticket to court don't forget to show up now you hear me. Or what? Like mayor Johnson you're not the boss of me attitude.
