Compliance Problems
So the Washington Gun Law YouTube site has a great video up the other day. This Second Amendment lawyer seems well versed in all sorts of laws across the nation and this particular video is about Illinois and governor Porky's attempts to get the guns:
Some interesting history and states contained within the video. For instance, we had forgotten that this "law" was introduced as an insurance regulation. The legislature removed all of the insurance language, inserted the gun control verbage, then voted it out of committee to the floor - without the required three readings and without public comment - passing it in the dead of night so that Illinoisans woke up to a bright new dictatorship that 95% of people had no idea about.
The inevitable lawsuits followed and two Illinois Supreme Court judges - who each received $1 million cash bribes campaign contributions from Fatass - declared the legality of this monstrosity. Amazing! The US Supreme Court should be on tap.
The compliance numbers are interesting though:
- FOID holders - 2,415,484
- FOID holders who are sheep - 2,906
Meaning 0.12% of FOID card holders are currently in compliance with the law. Each of the sheep declared (on average) 2.88 items for registration - guns, accessories and ammo - for a grand total of 8,379 items. If each of the 2.4 million FOID card holders has 2.88 items to be registered:
- that's 6,956,585 potential items
So 0.12% of the soon-to-be-illegal items are available for confiscation right now....halfway through the registration period (01 Oct 2023 until 01 January 2024). That's not twelve percent....that's a fraction of one-percent, and it's remained under one-percent the entire first forty-five days of ninety.
Why do we bring this up? Because some asshole - politician or boss - is going to have a bright idea of going after some of these guns. You know, to make an example. Oh, they'll be "careful" about it....some grandmother, probably snitched on by some libtarded relative who always started arguments at Thanksgiving dinner. Granny's house will be raided, Granny will be led out, politely, to a waiting squad car. She'll be taken to a police station, fingerprinted, spend overnight in a cell, see a judge, have her FOID card revoked, be released on no-bail (because Illinois is civilized that way) and she'll get fined....maybe.
And then the authorities will be emboldened. And someone will pick the wrong house. You know police are exempt from most of this law, but some boss or politician will expect you to enforce it on your neighbors because a mentally ill trans person in Highland Park broke the law.
Choose wisely.

I tell everyone I know who has a gun to seriously think of moving to Indiana. They are turning legal gun owners into criminals. Their plan is also to get people nervous about buying ammo or gun parts. In the end they will put all the gun shops out of business.

The feds were watching him for three months before they arrested him. He knew it and his family and friends the feds were out there. They sent a team to arrest him at 7 AM one day, but he escaped peacefully and cleanly. They had no clue where he was until he peacefully turned himself in two days later in a different county. (Why didn't they just ask his lawyer to bring him in?)

The police - state, county, local - need to be vocal about drawing the line. Sheriffs have been good about this but not the troopers or cops. The citizens who own these guns respect the job you do more than anyone else, but they won't let you get away with enforcement.
Please make it clear to Gov. Fatass (troopers), county boards (sheriffs) and mayors (cops) that you will not, under any circumstances, carry out this clearly unconstitutional and highly provocative policy.
Only when they realize that there's no one to carry out their illegal orders will they relent.
You are all unfortunately being put into a bad position but you need to take the path of light, as difficult as that may be. No one wants good LEOs in harm's way. Don't let them put you there.
Looking back at history gun registration has always lead to confiscation. It is only a matter of time. There is no reason to have gun registration unless the government is planning to confiscate.
As for making your supervisor order to conduct an illegal confiscation, what do you think that does? Doesn't protect you. The defense "I was just following orders" isn't going to protect you.

Every civilian I know isn’t even considering complying with fatso. Funny enough it’s mostly democrats that are pissed at the Pigster. The structure of our Constitutional Republic is a triangle, with each side required to be intrinsically honest, honorable and ethical.
This is no longer true, not nationally/federally, not states, not counties, nor cities, etc.
Dishonest, dishonorable and unethical people have hijacked our governments, all using the coating of 'democracy' to do so.
The sequence has degraded into:
Dishonest, dishonorable and unethical people polluted the Executive and spew out their nonsense as rules/policies.
Dishonest, dishonorable and unethical people infested the Legislative and concoct this nonsense into laws.
Dishonest, dishonorable and unethical people worm their way into the Judicial and affirm the preceding as 'constitutional'.

Followed by the Executive enforcing same using law enforcers.
The ideals of our nation's Constitution thus get flushed away.
All accomplished via the cloak of 'democracy'.

If not our Criminal Courts prosecuting rights violations, then it will have to be Military Courts.
