The mentally deranged want to move where?
When asked which city in the world people would choose to live in, it appears Chicagoans have some thoughts — and the world has thoughts about Chicago.
According to a study by Remitly, a digital remittance company, Chicagoans join several other U.S. states in choosing Dubai as the destination of choice.
The study, which analyzed Google search data for 164 countries around the world and looked at search volumes for the phrase "move to [city]," found that an "overwhelming" favorite was Dubai, which topped the list of at least 60 countries, including Canada, the United Kingdom and the U.S.
But Chicago was also cited on the list for another reason — as a desired destination.
Okay, these are obviously people who don't get out much, watch waaaaaay to much prime time television and remember hearing their great-grandparents talk about that time the mayor waved to them from a parade float before they walked to Marshall Fields and ate in the Walnut Room.
That Chicago doesn't exist any more, and hasn't for a little while now.

The way I read that story they didn't ask anyone anything. The results were based up google search data and to assume that someone wanted to move to a place just becuse they searched "move to xxxxx" is shall we say mis information.
Go to the link and than at the bottom of the page where it says "full details" go there. Do you really think that people in Texas, Florida, Georgia etc ... want to move to New York

No one is thinking about moving to Chicago to raise a family. Someone may take a job vacated by someone who moved away from Chicago. But that someone's CEO may be thinking of leaving Chicago...
Chicago is a dirty, violent, corrupt city. Always has been and is worse off now. The next 10-15 years are going to be brutal.

Nothing like a 100 degree area that went from flat desert on the sea to a sterile, high-rise metropolis in 35 years. And a place where foreigners will get arrested for the slightest of infractions with no due process. Still, I'd take that over Chicago of 2023, for at least they have some law and order. Another OT.... Our command staff shined again today. Worked the lets go Brandon motorcade route. Some brilliant boss forgot to reopen the blocked streets on central from I 55 to midway aorport. So close to 2 miles of a major artery street along with almost 2 miles of east west traffic we're stuck for 20 - 25 minutes more than needed. If someone didn't come on the radio and ask why are the streets still blocked, who knows how long these incompetent idiots would have had this mess continue.
Oh, and to the gold star who had to stop and ask why I didn't have a hat on.... If you had yours on I wouldn't have had that response to make you go back to your car with your gold braid tail between your legs.
