Nasty Habit

Refuse charges for one case....but finally charge him for another two years ago:

  • Many eyebrows were raised when Cook County prosecutors refused to file murder and attempted murder charges against Juan Ferba last January, claiming he acted in “self-defense” when he shot and killed a man outside a South Side liquor store and also shot a woman who was sitting on a nearby CTA bus.

But now Ferba, 27, has another problem: Prosecutors have decided to charge him with murdering two other people and shooting a third in February 2022, about a year before the liquor store shooting that they gave him a pass on.

How about an "armed habitual" charge? This jag has three killings (that we know of) under his belt.

Similar situation with an offender in 024. Shot and killed some guy because he punched him, victim began to flee and offender shoots and kills him. State's attorney did not approve charges for homicide. The offender had a previous charge that turned into a uuw but not attempt because the people he shot didn't die. This county is the worst.

I would strongly bet he’s out already do you think they’re going to hold him in jail or hold anybody in the crook county jail system? Absolutely not the Democrats are all about corruption lawlessness as they are protecting 24 hours a day seven days a week by armed police officers did Brandon add any more to his detail of 150 platoon members professional valet?

In lieu of charges perhaps some mayoral recognition in the form of an award for "Shooter of the year" would be more appropriate...

And over in DuPage County their State's Atty is doing his job: (go to his webpage for the full story; https://www.dupagecounty.gov/news_detail_T2_R1126.php )
"January 22, 2024
DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin announced today that a former Chicago man has been sentenced to thirty years in the Illinois Department of Corrections for hijacking a woman’s car at gunpoint from her garage in late 2019. Martavious Robinson, who was a juvenile at the time of the offense and was transferred to adult court at the State’s request, now 21 (d.o.b. 7/30/2002) appeared at his sentencing this afternoon in front of Judge Michael Reidy, who handed down the sentence. On June 28, 2023, following a two-day trial and approximately four hours of deliberations, a jury found Robinson guilty of one count of Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, a Class X Felony. Robinson’s co-defendants, Emanuel Embry and Daysean Washington-Davis have each previously entered a plea of guilty to one count of Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking in front of Judge Reidy, who sentenced each man to forty years in the Illinois Department of Corrections."

Nothing to see here. This is normal in cook country. This is just another one of the 1000’s of terrible stories of the cook country court system. But hey, you people keep voting for kim fox and all the terrible judges. You voted for Pritzker. You voted for the incompetent mayor. Chicago had been 100% democrat run for 70 years or more. You voters are insane to think something will change. Who are you going to vote for to replace Kim Fox? The guy Tony Preckwinkle wants??? If you’re waking up you would vote opposite of what she or any Chicago politician wants.

Maybe Kim Foxx's DA office refuses to press charges so often because to do so would just add to DA office case-workload. Maybe this is just simple laziness, self-knowledge of poor prosecutorial legal skills, and time-management efficiency directive, not WOKE agenda. Foxx wants her prosecutors to have on-clock personal time: "personal day" time, family time, continuing education time, internet shopping time, extended vacation time, lunching-out time, nail and hair appointment time, etc. No time to prosecute criminals, not even repeat felons.

The human degenerating of natural law is the source of these events.

Natural law is defined and full measure.

Human law is sketchy, slippery, pliable as puppy poop and the results stink.

"What is the current clearance rate for murder here in Chiraq?"

HeyJackass no longer posts the clearance rate but they show 643 homicides at the end of 2023 with the race (and, possibly the identity) of the offender known in 83 cases.
This gives a rate of 12.91%.
That's actually pretty good considering recent history when it has been as low as 9%.

Not sure if that matches the CPD definition of 'clearance rate'.
NOTE: The numbers have changed slightly since 1/1.
