The would be an absolute fool to not hire Steve Georgas back as a temporary advisor for the DNC… he may not be the best with employee people skills but he knows how to plan, organize and execute the plan, there’s no replacing experience, he gained that knowledge from previous bosses and doing the job.
OT: Rich Guidice pulled the plug on his illustrious career with the city after 33yrs for a job that he refused to say what it was. I’m sure BJ was hoping he would stick around for the DNC but Rich wasn’t gonna be the fall guy when this shit blows up in the mayor’s face. He got out in time. OK let me put this disclaimer in first. I do not know the chief of patrol, so I do not side with any side of liking him or hating him, but I can tell you this from what was said as the honest truth and I’m sure there are going to be those that are going to terret to shreds just because they’re miserable people, the chief of patrol very simply put it that captains should be working late afternoon shifts when the commander is not there. Which is by the general order for that position. And those that took the captains position clearly should’ve known that. The captain position is not a days and weekends off Type of appointed position. Quite frankly, to be honest with you I think that it’s a stand up statement to say because we all know there are many captains that are being scammers, because many blue shirts do not have the ability to work whenever they want or the fact that they’re assigned to midnights or afternoons and don’t like those hours but will come in and work days anyways. That does not happen in Patrol on the watch , so why should a person who made captain be allowed to do that all the chief of patrol said was he wants the captains working 90% of their time from 5 PM to 1 AM which is what they are supposed to be doing. So I don’t know why there is backlash when someone is simply stating to some arrogant people i.e. the captains and commanders that they’re supposed to do their jobs , again I understand what people are saying about the chief patrol. That’s here, nor there there with me because I do not know the man and never have worked for him but to keep things honest and impartial. The facts are the facts. And those that want to change the facts have ulterior motives, because they are either upset that they did not get the position or they simply do not like an individual , just trying to keep things within perspective as things tend to get out of control on this blog.

All that guy did was constantly cancel our RDOs for no reason. Is that what you define as half way smart??? A caveman could do it. Also - he always looked like a slob - dirty and wrinkled shirt, nasty looking boots etc. You're a head of patrol making $212K a year and you look like a bum - what an embarrassment... All these turds make so much money and NEVER have a plan for anything. Remember 2020? None of those assholes were held accountable for their failures. There are plenty of people in blue shirts that would do a much better job than these strokes at the top.

For what it’s worth, I use to be a copper in 015 when Hein was the captain.
He’d come into roll call every week slamming a hammer over our heads about
“numbers.” Mind you, this was in the middle of riot season when we were all
burnt out from 12 hour shifts, no RDO’s, and mayhem in the streets. Terrible leader
through and through, with no idea on how to actually lead people.
Worked Nato with McCarthy and he was walking right along side our van on State st. I vote myself in charge or McCarthy. He had a plan and Nato was a success. 2020 Commanders were getting their windows smashed out.
