This is from earlier last week - did someone blackmail Arlington Heights to the bargaining table?
A quote from State Representative Mark Walker posted Monday afternoon, March 11, 2024 in a WGN News video indicates that Mark Walker is looking forward to many interesting proposals to come to the future Arlington Park, including affordable housing and “welcoming centers for new arrivals.”

There has been a rumor circulating for several months that migrant welcoming centers are planned for the property at Arlington Park instead of a Chicago Bears stadium. This rumor seemed to have a little more credence following the quote from State Representative Mark Walker (D-Arlington Heights/53rd District). Notice the euphemism used by State Rep. Mark Walker for migrants — “new arrivals”.
This guy "represents" Arlington Heights, so it would be hard to see him trying to force illegals into housing in an upper-middle class suburb. It also makes you wonder who he's actually working for - the citizens or the Bears, and how much leverage did he bring to (A) the taxing issue and (B) the end game.
It sure is interesting to see how the money and power works behind the scenes.

This is why I left Illinois after I retired. The NW burbs suck now and are expensive as fuck. They’ve been voting D for some time and are changing fast. American, English speaking kids are the minority in Mount Prospect schools now. Lots of subsidized housing in Arlington, Mount Prospect, Wheeling, etc…. Get out of Illinois.
That's the best way to keep Arlington Heights to submit to the proposal by the Bears. Threaten them with Bad Touch Joe's migrants.

If they host “newcomers” there, the Bears could end up profiting nicely from that land purchase while getting further “incentivized” to stay in the city.

Reminds of the story about a Great Society program that sent inner city kids to job training centers located in rural areas to learn skills. As anybody but a progressive might have expected, the urban youth ran wild in these small towns, causing Chicago-level crime rates in previous sleepy environs.
Eventually, the representatives in congress for the rural areas started fighting the program but the bureaucrats had a simple answer for that: "If you don't vote for the program, we're going to put a job training center in your district too!"
Watch how fast he becomes the Ex-representative from Arlington Heights when he actually pushes illegals into A.H. He will be a punch line for a joke faster than you can say Jussie will be back soon to finish his sentence!!!

Question: Since the Bears bought this property and used it against the City and State, who need the NFL in the city, what is the price the State will buy back the property for this center. Oh, I can smell the taxpayer money going to the Bears so they can "put their share" of the money into the bin for the over 2 billion dollars the stadium will cost. Can you see the dedicated stadium sky box for the city, county and state Fuckheads that will make this happen at the cost to the taxpayers.
You, my friends, will not be able to purchase a ticket, let alone a sky box to watch the game. I'm sure there will be a license fee in the thousands of dollars for the "privilege" to purchase a season ticket and some sort of fee for single game tickets.
If none of this transpires, I will prostrate myself and use sharp sticks to beat the common sense out of my head.
