Concealed Frying Pan License

A few years ago, there was a video (maybe from CWB?) of a window breaker being hit with a bongo drum as he fled the scene. It was one of the funniest video clips we recall seeing and the sound of the drum making contact with the dumbass's head made it even funnier.

This one might top it:

  • The burglar who went viral after being attacked by a frying pan-wielding homeowner is a 12-time convicted felon who was paroled three months ago on burglary, forgery, theft, and stolen motor vehicle cases, according to court filings.

Bradley Willenborg, 31, provided Chicago cops with the alias “Brandon Williams” and a fake birthdate after they arrested him in the 3400 block of West Parker around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Judge Susana Ortiz ordered him detained yesterday afternoon because of a safety risk.

Homeowner Jason Williams called police around 3:25 p.m. after receiving an alarm notification and seeing a video feed of a man on his property, according to police records. Williams also rushed home, getting there before the police arrived and before Willenborg left.

The homeowner got in a few hits off camera in the house and a few more in the back yard, before chasing the offender out front and getting in another smack as cops arrived. We only wish there was sound.

Here's a X/twitter video link to go with the CWB link up top.

UPDATE: Here's one slightly altered version of the "bongo bonk" from a helpful commentator. Thanks!

The offender was running away and no longer a threat, so why wasn't the homeowner charged with agg batt w/deadly weapon, then once on the public way, agg batt on the public way?

Time to ban frying pans! Start a registry!

Was the frying pan damaged?

An old school cast iron one would have been immune to being damaged at all, though not so much for wherever on the offender's body it landed.

Those alumininum teflon coated ones, though.....

Unless the edges of the pan are the contact points to offender's flesh, most of the impacts would sound like that one hand clapping of whimsical inquiry.

Maybe have the frying pan take a selfie of itself for the t-shirt memes.

It's good that the burglar was caught.

The dog was a big help /sarc.

The burglar and homeowner are both white men. The property prominently displays the updated alphabet flag that is associated with BLM and full-on trans "rights" such as biological men intruding on women's sports and safe spaces, and minors being medically "transitioned". Would there be different repercussions in the Cook County legal system if the burglar and homeowner had some other combination of racial and sexual identity?

It was wonderful to watch, just hope the dumbasses don't decide to charge the homeowner. I mean, they rushed home to confront him.

Hope that frying pan wasn't over 10 inches in diameter. The homeowner could be charged with an unregistered assault frying pan!

My downstairs neighbors used to fight constantly. He used to pummel her and demean her to no end, but she was was a bitch too and told me to mind my own business. One day, her old man was banging her head against the mirror or some shit, and she got loose and grabbed a frying pan. She whacked him solidly on the head with it.

The "Thuunggg" from the smack was quite satisfying. I didn't hear any more from them, and I moved about two months later.

I'm thinking law enforcement in Illinois should adopt the frying pan strategy and issue it as an alternate force option. First, much cheaper than other impact weapons. Second, less intimidating if it's hanging off your Same Browne. Finally, who's going to believe the police beat me with a frying pan??????

Keesing Bandit any thoughts?

We caught a guy breaking into my grandma’ window. Our shepherd grabbed his legs then me, my Dad, and 5 siblings kicked him until the cops arrived. My 12 year old, hyper little ass kicked that guy hundreds of times as my shepherd used his leg as a chew toy. The cops had a good laugh when they got there.

Where does the bongo fall on use of force model and can the department order a few thousand for the riots? We can make a drum circle to calm the crowd and if that don’t work we can “bongo” them into compliance

Protect yourself from what?

Just how risky are your submitted for review before being posted comments?

And in what manner, as you perceive them to be risky to yourself?
