Checks Screwed Up Again
The DEI hires over at Finance can't help but steal our money and screw up our accounts:
- Check your checks! Finance took Union Dues out of the Uniform checks making this something like the twentieth screw up in as many months. We don't know how your checkbook looks, but ours is a mishmash of errors and corrections lately.
You know, if the City would outsource payroll to a private company like ADP, they could end these constant screw-ups and eliminate a few hundred DEI morons from the payroll, further saving taxpayers money.

Read the email from your union. It says the city can take the union dues from the first check of the month. Since we get paid on the 7th now, the first check of the month is the uniform checks. Since coppers don’t know their contract, they just wanna bitch online. Don’t worry, your check on the 7th won’t have union dues come out, just like it’s been done since we switched to the 7th
The sergeants and lieutenants won their longest grievance/lawsuit against the city. The city owes potentially MILLIONS to both groups who have worked Special Employment going back to 2011.
The lawsuit was won about 3 years ago. Any SGT or LT who works a "Tour of Duty" is entitled by contract to receive .75 hours on the books. The city for years never added the .75 credit. The city states they are having "a hard time getting all the A & A's" together to add up the hours/ time or money due. The judge has made it clear the city must pay interest EVERY DAY that the the time (or cash for the now retired) is not paid out to the grievants.
If this was the fuckin' private sector, the employer would go out and hire a dozen more accountants to get this issue settled ASAP. However, the politicians here figure "what the hell, it's not my money" .. let the taxpayers take the hit on paying millions more.
These bastards belong in the Federal penitentiary.
I hope everyone realized that the weekend following the dnc is Labor Day weekend. More rdo’s cancelled, time due denied,etc. if you think our checks were screwed up now just wait. I’m willing to bet some will be missed 6/7 day premium, and some o.t. will be spread across two checks when it shouldn’t be.
So glad the unions dont seem to care.
Take a look on the 5th floor of HQ, you have the same thing in Finance as you do in HQ up there. Lazy, incompetent, DEI, and absolutely disrespectful people who work in this city who hate the city, the country, YOU as a first responder and your LIFE. Remember that when you think it's just a "department" problem. It's a "City problem".
Another example of why the government does not work. Immediately fire all government workers and privatize all jobs and agencies.
The only exception is for police, fire, dispatch and customs border patrol.
They are probably doing it on purpose at this point. It has been going on to long and we are not liked.

This is the unions fault as well. They are supposed to do something, whatever it is to get the union dues to stop coming out of any check that we receive on the 1st or 16th. Supposedly they are refusing to do it, so this is why this constantly happens on the 1st and 16th.
Several of my private employers used ADP and I'll admit that they were pretty accurate.
All part of designed aggravation for the department. Allowing fools to operate financial systems shines the spotlight again on administration incompetence and buffoonery. Brandumb is the best the Democrats can muster to run the city into the ground. They picked a real idiot who epitomizes Democrats penchant for perpetual incompetence.
But that would put Democratic workers out of a patronage job. CPS graduates doing the payroll. We know they can’t read now we know they can’t do simple math as well. The Chicago Way and Values in action ion.
It's interesting how CPD checks are always fucked up. My wife has worked for CPS for 17 years and she has never had a screw up.

Pretty pathetic the department already has sent an email out in regards to Labor Day weekend RDOS being cancelled. DNC hasn’t even started yet…. How many gold stars is it going to take to realize that key to officer wellness is allowing officers to have their regular days off. It’s pretty simple and common sense.
Can't wait to get out of here. Retirement cant get here fast enough.

It actually goes back to 2006 for non-supervisors. All non-exempt sworn are part of one group. The city lost the lawsuit in 2019. They have been fight damages since. The city could also be on the hook for double indemnity. Also, this does not involve any union. The city violated both state and federal law. Yes, intrest acumulates daily compounded. The damages and intrest, without double indemnity, were over 200 million in late 2020. Winter Jackson got blamed for alot of this. Also, this why civilians have been scouring high and low for old time cards.

Nope! DNC ends on Thursday, 22-Aug and Labor Day is not until 01-Sep-2024.
So $567 was deposited into my account and the next transaction was $596 being taken out. WTF

DNC cancelation runs through the weekend until the 24th/25th. Labor Day is the next weekend. So yes double weekends again. If you were forced to work lolla you may get 2 days off for the entirety of August. But make sure to wear your crown caps and no cargo pants, that is what’s important. Fuck you Snelling.
