- Vice President Kamala Harris is interviewing a half-dozen potential
running mates this weekend ahead of a formal announcement and a
battleground tour with her new No. 2 next week.
Her interview list: Govs. Andy Beshear of Kentucky, J.B. Pritzker of Illinois, Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania and Tim Walz of Minnesota, as well as Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, according to two people with knowledge of Harris’ selection process. The people were granted anonymity to discuss private campaign deliberations.
He brings absolutely nothing to the ticket:
- he's got his own scandal with "Toilet-gate"
- he's forced everyone into masks while flying his daughter and her horse to Florida to compete in tournaments
- he kept schools closed far longer than was necessary or appropriate because the teachers had to continue teaching from beaches in the Caribbean
- he's all over the Blago tapes evaluating minority electability
- he's in charge of the second or third worst economically wrecked state in the nation
The only thing he brings to the table is his appetite and the ability to self-finance an entire campaign on his own.
But with far more qualified candidates are running away from The Kackler campaign, the second tier has to step up and take the hit.

Trump has not learned. He still uses an insult attack campaign style. That will not work against Harris. The race topic should be a taboo. Yes, I know that Harris plays it to her advantage but if Trump uses that issue he will turn off the 3-4% of the middle voters that he needs to win.

What Pritzger would bring to the ticket would be pretty much what Kamala Harris brought to the Biden/Harris ticket: security.

Polls btw which are notoriously inaccurate (in 2016 the polls had Hillary up 6 points over Trump). What is obvious is that Trump is running a rather unimpressive campaign and better change course. His response to getting shot was indeed badass but that has been placed in the rearview mirror for some reason.
