First of all, these carjacking teams are ridiculous. There packed with goofballs who don’t know what they’re doing.
They should not be assigned to the detective areas, they should be run like the old saturation teams in the areas. Bring POs from each district over for details and swap them after their 90 day detail. Having these foolish mission teams permanently assigned is dumb.

So the offender and his team were drinking while they were supposed to be working the twelve hour shifts. Only patrol officers must work twelve hkurs. Units can work a few hours and go home or in this case get drunk. Units can also engage in fraud and just submit slips for overtime when they never worked overtime. It must be nice to work in specialized units. Look at the data the officers and supervisors who work in units make the most money in overtime. CITIZENS OF CHICAGO YOU ARE BEING ROBBED. Enjoy paying your high taxes.

Patrol does the most work. Patrol answers every call, are Actual first responders. Units are at best third responders after EMS. Swat is a fifth or sixth responder. Yet patrol gets shit on time and time again.
Nothing to worry about. The city has their best people on it. Just go about your business.

If you open clear, timestamp, click data warehouse, timestamp. If they logged out of the desktop computers it’s a time stamp. Everything is tracked. Any of them or the sgt have a department phone? Yep, tracked. Everything is tracked this day and age. If not one team member is on a computer then there goes the “doing paperwork” routine. Better not try to be slick and lie.. just drop the slips, get them approved and tell them what happened.. take the suspensions for the early duck… don’t get fired for a stupid lie trying to be slick… better to keep your job.

You heard right. The mope was supposed to be working 12 hour days, but instead he and his team got hammered together. Their supervisor gave them an early duck and the drunk went over to 007 and beat the crap out of his lover. Thankfully he didn’t kill anyone on the way.
