He Makes Sense

We thought Paul Vallas wasn't running for anything any more, but the way he lights up his X/Twitter page with stats and such, he certainly seems like he's laying the groundwork for another shot at office:

  • Police Superintendent Snelling says that since 2020, a shocking 330 police officers have been shot at, 38 were shot, injured, or killed. Average annual number of police shot at since 2020 is almost FIVE TIMES what it was in 2019 and most years before.

What happened to help cause this?

     • Police strength dramatically reduced 1,700

     • Unreasonable restraints placed on proactive policing

     • Anti police rhetoric among city leaders escalated

     • Safe-T Act and pre-trial release returns thousands of dangerous and repeat felons to the street

     • Safe-T did nothing to increase penalties for threatening police, witnesses or crime victims.

Officers increasingly take great risks as they fear being punished for defending themselves while criminals are emboldened by reformers who increasingly treat criminals as victims, blaming society for their violent behavior, while portraying police as oppressors.

Maybe he's trying for an appointed spot? Or a staff spot somewhere? Because he's nailing the statistics part of it.

Coincidentally 2020 is when COPA started ramping out its ridiculous punishments believing coppers should get fired if they shoot an offender before the offender shoots them.

Conehead chose his fate when he insisted on attending Officer Martinez’s funeral services and hiking taxes. Idiot should stay home and cut the expenses.

The officers who are trying to work while their hands are tied by bad policy have been getting hurt and murdered. It takes a lot for me to not just scream and brake down cry while thinking and writing on this. We lost the incentive to work hard with current policies. Morale has been in the negative numbers for years now! Crime is up and will only get worse! All is lost and we are in a hopeless situation. The radios have been encrypted to hide what’s going on. No one cares anymore. Just come in answer your calls and go home.

The police job has been destroyed by Democrat politicians. The Democrat’s control the city, county and state government. They own the destruction of the Chicago Police Department.

Ever since 17 year olds have been treated as youths is one of the largest reasons for the explosion of violent crimes and organized property crimes (Atm thefts, Burglary Sprees, Robbery Sprees) this should be reversed.

You know how to greatly reduce the chance of getting shot at or in trouble? By not being proactive. The new generation of police that came out while SCC was on hiatus might not know but we used to have a saying here, "Stay Fetal".

Paul Vallas is a good man - an honest , honorable man . But … he doesn t have “ the Right Stuff “ , the charisma, the star power to win something like Mayor if Chixsho , mayor of New York City , plus he apparently doesn t know how to compete in identity politics where at least 79% of the voters vote for their racial , ethnic , sexual group .

Paul Vallas would be a great Chief of Staff who would call the shits in all things that matter, education , law enforcement , taxes and pensions ( I favor funding fire and police pensions , CTU NO)

We need to play to win and start finding a savior Chicago celebrity candidate real soon , now .

IMO we should run a Chicago Sports celebrity - Ditka - the coach is now Elton old he would have been perfect 20 years ago.

How about one of the 1985 HOF Chi Bears players - Mike Dongketary , Doug Pkank, Gary Fencik ( yeah I know Plank retired B4 ‘85 Super Bowl champions , but the ‘85 Bears best ever Defence is named after him “ The 46 Defense”.

Let me do sone of Fencik for Chi Mayor YouTube adverts - use Duran Duran’s “ a View to a Lill “ show video of Fencik leveling opposing receivers like that White Nay Giants receiver , I can still remember our Johnny Morris making the call “ I didn t know anyone from Yale could hit like that? “

Talk is cheap .

Let s get together and find ….

The One

A lot of things have contributed to the job becoming far more dangerous. One of the biggest concerns is the use of force becoming far more restrictive causing officers to second guess everything they do. CPD should remove the verbiage and definition of what is considered imminent in the use of deadly force. When an action is imminent and likely to cause great bodily harm or death, it is usually too late. Enrique Martinez's incident is a perfect example. Nothing was imminent until that gun was out and on full display. At that point it's too late to react. I blame CPD and all the anti police politicians for allowing it to get this far and making the job exponentially more dangerous. The only way to reduce the dangers of the job is to do what you are required to do and not do anything proactive.

Vallas smells blood in the water. It’s amazing to watch how quickly Johnson’s mayorship is unravelling now - literally everything he tries to do fails or is defeated and this incompetence is there now for all to see. Even the media is starting to turn on him. There’s no way he has the political acumen or internal fortitude to make it through his whole term and Vallas knows it.

Vallas is paid by various organizations to write these Op-Ed pieces. Let’s make sure on who becomes the a candidate for Mayor.
Vallas spent money in the worst possible ways. If he does that as mayor, we’re all doomed.

Don’t get your hopes up. I was following him on Twitter after his previous loss for the mayorship against Groot. He’s a good man with good ideas when you compare him against who normally runs for mayor, but his Twitter feed worked against him with his old man “stay off my lawn” energy. I think he could have done better in the last one if he had kept the same policies and ideas and toned that down the geezer vibe.
