Nice Shot
- A food vendor licensed to carry a concealed firearm shot and killed a
man who tried to rob him on the West Side on Friday evening, Chicago
police said.
The vendor was working in the 300 block of South Central when a gunman approached him around 8:50 p.m. Police said a struggle ensued, and that quickly developed into a shootout between the robber and concealed carry holder.
The would-be robber, who police said was about 30 years old, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Mt. Sinai Hospital. His 35-year-old victim was in good condition with a gunshot wound to the right arm.
Gotta love the happy ending.

Own a musket for home defense, since that's what the founding fathers intended. Four ruffians break into my house. "What the devil?" As I grab my powdered wig and Kentucky rifle.
Blow a golf ball sized hole through the first man, he's dead on the spot. Draw my pistol on the second man, miss him entirely because it's smoothbore and nails the neighbors dog.
I have to resort to the cannon mounted at the top of the stairs loaded with grape shot, "Tally ho lads" the grape shot shreds two men in the blast, the sound and extra shrapnel set off car alarms.
Fix bayonet and charge the last terrified rapscallion. He Bleeds out waiting on the police to arrive since triangular bayonet wounds are impossible to stitch up.
Just as the founding fathers intended....Happy Thanksgiving

We've recorded 7 killed with another 19 wounded in our self defense column. There are likely more as details about such shootings are not always obvious or reported. Plus there are 2 or 3 this year where the shooter had a CCL/FOID but got hit with a murder charge, at least at first. We don't count those as self defense.
The City of Chicago, Obama's hometown, has gone downhill ever since he moved to Hawaii and got out of Dodge . Obama slowed the rise of the oceans and healed our planet. Imagine what Obama could do if he called the southside Hyde Park U of C intelligencia home or established upscale affordable housing in the Austin community . If he convincingly could correct climate change on such a grand scale, he certainly could effect restorative justice initiatives in certain zip codes for those at risk communities with a lifestyle changing political brainwashing message of Hope and Change thang.
Originally during the early history of this country, all males, between 18-65 were members of the militia. By law they were required to have a working musket, powder horn and shot available in the dwelling. And were required to assemble on the village green or town square when the alarm was sounded. Need to get back to that period of time.
Just don't complain about the service like the last guy or No soup for you!

I get the feeling the anti-2nd amendment leftists must have never watched the episode of Schoolhouse Rock when they taught about the Constitution. The Declaration of Independence tells us what we are to do with them.
