That Bally's stock "offering" limited to "women and people of color" has provoked the expected lawsuit, further clouding the entire casino issue:
A conservative activist group is suing Bally’s, the city and state gambling regulators over a minority investment program in the Chicago casino that allows only women and people of color to get a piece of the action.
The American Alliance for Equal Rights filed the federal lawsuit Wednesday, along with two white Texas men who are “excluded from the table solely based on immutable characteristics,” the suit states.
"Reverse racism" is still racism, and this remnant of Groot's years of mis-governance with Bally's the City of Chicago and the Illinois Gaming Board being named as defendants, will end up costing taxpayers untold millions long before this doomed-to-fail enterprise even opens.
But don't worry - those in-the-know are already getting paid via connected contracts and such.

The last one was 3 years ago Jan/Feb 2022. They are trying to stick to 3-5yrs for Supervisory Promotional Exams per the Consent Decree. Notice it doesn't have dates though and is not actually on the Calendar. It just says Part 1 Q3 Part 2 Q4. If I were a betting man, I'd say it's like that so they can push it off due to budgetary concerns, and it may not actually happen this year. They did the same thing with the Detective Exam.The only Exam they gave actual dates for and designated on the calendar, is the FTO Exam 3 dates in February.

I read that article and then looked up the company name "II in One." They were involved in other "minority projects" that had so many issues. Millennium Park and Police Headquarters. Millennium Park had huge problems and cost double maybe triple what it was estimated to build. Don't get me started on 35th street, we all know what a cluster that building is.
