Mystery Shooter
- An armed suspect was shot during a robbery Saturday morning at a business on the city's South Side. The shooting and armed robbery happened around 9 a.m. in the 100 block of West 87th Street in West Chatham, Chicago police said.
Three armed offenders entered the business and demanded property, police said. After taking money, they fled through a back door of the business. One of the offenders, a 27-year-old man, was shot in the right leg and arrested at the scene. He was taken to a hospital in good condition.
The Chicago Police Department confirmed to ABC7 the incident was not an officer-involved shooting. It was not immediately known who shot the offender.
A hopefully, no one looks too hard for the shooter. It isn't going to change the crime count and perhaps the shot asshole learns a lesson from it.

Nope. The shot asshole just earned his street cred and will be back at it again but next time he will be prepared for Joe Citizen.
How much do you want to bet it was a ND from one of his fellows robbers?
The Hacks at ABC 7 will immediately take the side of the Criminal. Channel 7 was hoping it was a Police shooting so they could accuse the Police of using excessive force on a citizen.

Even though this was not a CPD involved shooting, is the city still going to pay the offender because he was just "funnin around"?
