CPS Wilding Warning
Sorry, did we say "wilding"? We meant "teen takeover."
There was a letter sent out to all CPS families and a couple people forwarded it here:
We are reaching out today because we have been notified of several potential teen-related trends that may materialize at our beaches this evening. The Chicago Police Department is continuing to ask for your partnership in encouraging our youth to be safe and responsible throughout the summer. As we have seen from past large gatherings involving teens and young adults, there is a risk of things becoming unruly, and in some instances, violent.
We ask that you and your children please review these important reminders about Chicago’s beaches:- Chicago’s beaches do not officially open until Friday, May 23
- No lifeguards are currently assigned to our city’s beaches.
- Alcohol is prohibited on all Chicago beaches.
- All beach visitors are subject to search.
- Citywide curfew laws apply on the beach just as they do throughout Chicago.
CPD’s goal is to ensure public safety while maintaining peace. Therefore, in instances of large gatherings, we will use de-escalation and dispersal techniques to encourage our young people to comply with the law. This will be particularly important in situations where young people are walking in roadways and/or obstructing the public way. Individuals who fail to voluntarily comply with lawful police orders may be subject to arrest.
Assuming all the parents got this letter (it came out after 1700 hours on Thursday) and they all read it and then they read it to their kids, we can safely assume that this weekend downtown will be all glitter and rainbows and maybe we'll all see a unicorn.

This wilding (trends stuff) is leaching into the suburbs. Downers Grove and Naperville experienced a large group (approx 200) fighting and acting foolish Friday.
Just like Chicago to focus on everything but the actual problem lol. Let’s use de escalation! Let’s use a curfew !! Let’s talk to the parents !! lol … how about impounding cars and making arrests ! How come no mention of that? This is why it has grown out of control. This city is so mismanaged it’s beyond a joke at this point. Can’t wait to join my bros and sisters in another state to spend my pension dollars in.

That is correct. The officer was charged with a felony and at retirement ended up accepting a plea of a misdemeanor just to save his pension. This was FOP’s advice because the fix was already in at the SA’s office. Let them burn.

Summer is upon us and The "Violence Interrupters" have changed their focus into identifying problem areas in Arlington Heights.

Chicago has become a prime example to show that a police force cannot control crime and disorder when a large % of population are lawless and lack morals and a good upbringing.
The only thing being demonized in all of this is the normal concept of what young people are, and that's being done by the young people themselves, along with their adult ilk, . Mayor Johnson being the most prominent.

Off topic but with all the crimes being committed against US Postal workers and postal customers, why isn't the US Attorney's Office prosecuting the suspects? Do Postal workers appear in state court? Can State court represent the federal government when federal employees in the course of their are the victims?

The locust swarm spreads and ruins everything.
There were far fewer shootings and violence incidents when officers were assigned in the schools. Students feeling uncomfortable because of a police presence should not have been considered in removing officers. Saving lives is what is important.
ACT and SAT scores are racist and white man's rules. If you want to keep score on something it should be how much entitlements I can get. That is my college DEI entrance exam.
