The Illinois Policy website has a bunch of depressing articles up recently:
- Pritzker touts economic growth while proposed budget risks it
- Poll: Taxes No. 1 issue for over half of Illinois voters, nearly half would move
- Chicago Teachers Union pushes $7.3B in taxes on Illinoisans
Tax after tax after tax. Illinois is already unaffordable to live, work and raise a family, and articles like these outline exactly why tens of thousands are leaving or have already left.
But the morons left behind are going to keep voting for the people raising taxes endlessly.

My brother is moving out of IL. His new house’s property tax will be a fraction of what he paid in IL. He just got tired of getting rammed from behind by IL.

I personally know people who moved out of state and plan on moving. More than you could count with your fingers. The politicians just keep pushing people out with bad policy.
So remind me why CPS teachers only pay 2% into their pensions while we the tax payers pay the other 7.75 %. Has anyone asked JB why he hasn’t tried to change this and actually help the residents of Illinois? Media people? Father Phleger? Kwami? Buehler?

Look at the quality of students they're producing? Many can't read or write beyond grade school level when they, graduate?
Retired and moved to the Free State of Texas six years ago. Haven't had to buy a plastic bag yet. Haven't had to buy a city sticker either. Haven't got a parking ticket or "speeding " ticket in the mail to fuck up my day. No state income tax here. No residency requirements for police and fire in Houston. Gov. Abbott is signing a school choice bill tomorrow that is going to pay 10 grand of your kids tuition should you decide to go private. Abbott primaried Republicans who opposed this and got them out of there so this is pretty much his project. AND HOW IS YOUR DAY GOING?
Dont forget about the taxes that will be imposed by Johnsons "Blue Ribbon" fact finding team about reparations!
The city and state are broke, but this dildo set aside over $500k for this study! Obviously, this is the most important matter currently going on in Chicago

The people who vote for this don't pay taxes and are the biggest drain on the tax base.
Retired in 2017 and was out of that shit hole state before the end of that year. I'm in a red state now, loving it, and I'm NEVER going back. Stay safe and leave ASAP
2 family members live in Racine, WI---2 live in Crown Point, IN.. All three have BIG properties with in ground pools. They all pay LESS property taxes than me living in Norwood Park with a 45 ft wide lot. Something is wrong. I need to move when I get 20 years on. I only have 14 years.
Look for another push in Springfield for a graduated state income tax along with a service tax. The teachers need the money

If CPS teachers were mandated to draw a pension based solely on their 2% in-put, that might rather rapidly increase the amount they'd feel compelled to contribute.

Blame the welfare roaches and the senior citizens. As long as nobody messes with their handouts, they keep voting democrat.
I am so glad I moved out of this hellhole decades ago so I can watch this shitshow in the rear view mirror.
The same ones who thought OJ was not guilty and Obozo was the second coming. The country won’t get better until they start thinking and voting for themselves, instead of listening to the race hustlers.
