Don't Forget the Body Cams
A post in The Contrarian the other day and it mostly convinces us that Vallas is running for something despite his continued denials:
It’s time for the U.S. Department of Justice to place the Chicago Public Schools (CPS) under a federal consent decree. Only through a consent decree can the barriers erected by the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) and its political allies — barriers that systematically deny poor children, overwhelmingly Black and Latino, their right to a quality education, be dismantled. The objective of a consent decree is clear: To ensure that education funding follows the student, families have meaningful school choices, and local leaders have the freedom to adopt the best models for their communities.
CPS has devolved into a government-sanctioned system of educational apartheid in which poor children, overwhelmingly Black and Latino are, a deliberately and consciously denied a quality education. The CTU’s opposition to reforms that might threaten its power or reduce its membership has had devastating effects. The CTU’s efforts to block poor families from accessing better-performing, publicly funded alternatives to failing schools are discriminatory — if not in intent, then unquestionably in outcome.
He makes all the arguments we have been making for years now, along with many of our readers and anyone who has dealt with the CPS in any capacity. They aren't here to educate children (if they ever were), they're here to launder money for the Machine and the national party.
You should read it all regardless, so you recognize it at a later date.
We suppose the guy has to make a living somehow, but we have a difficult time believing that if he was actually in charge of anything here, he'd agree to any form of oversight from a Republican administration in Washington DC.
And don't forget, any "consent decree" should involve body cameras and classroom cameras so that (A) parents can observe the indoctrination being drilled into tiny skulls and (B) the constant grooming and sex assaulting can be documented and prosecuted by someone someday.

Vallas has lost everything single office in Illinois. Please stop running. You are old and white you have no chance of ever being elected in chicago. Step aside and let someone else beat brandon. You run hes in again for sure.
Meanwhile, outgoing CPS CEO Pedro Martinez received a standing ovation at CPS Central Offices.

Tidbit: Mayor CTU is offering $4M in reparations to 768,361 Black Chicagoans. It's clear MBJ wasn't a middle school math teacher as that comes out to $5.20 per person, a finski for reparations.
Can a consent decree be imposed on politicians, making body cams and yearly ethics training required? They are the ones who really need to be scrutined.
Let’s not forget Paul kept opening schools. Draining other public schools and did not close any school. As budget director he allowed the mayor to do whatever he wanted.
He said the governor of Florida should not speak in the state of Illinois because he was too right wing
Paul became more pro abortion than Brandon Johnson
Chose wisely among the clowns.
No matter how badly the CTU screws Chicagoans, they will take it. My Union friends will say, “they take care of their workers”. They don’t care if a teacher rapes their kid, “they are taking care of their people”. They don’t care that their kids will be a decade behind other students when they try to go to college, “they are taking care if their people”. They also don’t care that the CTU will bankrupt the city because “they are taking care of their people”.
I have met actual Communists that possess more common sense.
Someone of note once said regarding bankruptcy that it happened very slowly and then all at once. We are at the “all at once” moment for CPS. The “ very slowly” started in the 1960’s when the school board granted assigned teacher status to full time temporary substitute teachers who couldn’t or wouldn’t pass the written and/or oral exams.
Has some good points but still not enough votes to win an election
Vallas has all the answers, but people forget that when he was the Finance Director under Daley, he never uttered a word while Daley, Burke, and all the other cronies robbed the City blind.
Vallas is not and has never been anything but a Moth looking for the next brightest light bulb. How many things has he touched in his "career" that he ever improved? Making attacks on Trump while he was running for mayor was one of the dumbest things ever but he saw Trump as the brightest light bulb and so there you go.
CPD should be under a Federal Decree! AI helped write!
Placing the Chicago Police Department (CPD) under a federal consent decree initiated by the Trump administration—guided by leaders like Kash Patel—would mark a sharp departure from the way such decrees have traditionally been used by Democrat administrations. Rather than weakening the department through overregulation and politicized oversight, this approach would aim to restore law and order by empowering officers, improving training, and demanding accountability from city politicians who often obstruct proactive policing. A federal leader from the FBI under Patel’s guidance could focus on real reform: not by vilifying police, but by supporting them—offering legal indemnity when they perform their duties in good faith and ensuring they are not left to face political backlash alone. Officers would be allowed to enforce the law using proven tactics like stop-and-frisk within legal bounds, and morale would rise as camaraderie is rebuilt throughout the ranks. Most importantly, the mayor would be compelled to let officers do their jobs again—protecting neighborhoods, preventing crime, and regaining the trust of the communities they serve.
As long as you have Rank Choice Voting in Chicago voting you'll never get a choice but voting for the less worse of two shithead candidates. Weak Illinois Republican Party let this happen. People in Chicago get the governance they deserve. Shithead Brandon is living proof of this. And so was Lightfoot. The slow descent continues as taxpayers continue to exit that city and state. When you bail out of Chicago it should be known as "Chexit"...
Cameras in the classroom would be a cheap start. You could show Mama why her children have to go to the special school and not ruin the education of those students who might want to better themselves.
It all sounds like a great social justice move until you get "kids" who don't care about getting an education, who are gang members and criminals into better schools in other areas. Now you have a thug creating havoc and creating a terrible environment for the other students. Now imagine this thug getting offended by your child over the usual nonsense like getting looked at hard or being disrespected. Now they target your child and your home. Nobody needs that. What needs to happen is to hold the teachers and administrators accountable in these low performing schools. If the students are reaching goals then evaluate the teachers and get rid of under performing ones. Now we know that will never happen, especially at the worst schools because it would be deemed racist. But some of the teachers at these schools are barely literate themselves. Let's not even go into the sexual misconduct.
no merit promotions unless the person scored 77% or above on the multiple choice , no house cats
Cameras in school classrooms would be a great idea but it will never happen. It will show just how dumb, biased and perved out the teachers really are. And it will show the obvious failures of the CPS. Can't have any of that. That would be...racist. What a shit city it is. Taxes very high but schools still unfit for the children.
Minus the 50% surcharge to the democratic party coffers......
How wisely can one choose amongst clowns?
True dat.
1. All cps real properties evaluated as to current market values.
2. All cps real properties offered for sale, with covenants attached to select properties.
3. The corporate entity cps is then modified into an accounting service entity, aka, under the authority and direction of an assignment entity, which functions to manage voucher usages by the student population's legal guardians for school choice selections.
3. Each formerly owned by cps school real property, being sold to private entity buyers, with convenants requiring usage of said property being as a school, thus becomes the pool of schools to choose from.
Any inclusions of voucher usage for schools not formerly cps owned remains to be determined by the clusterfucking processes known as politics.
By 'rank choice voting' I presume you mean all candidates are of the rankest odor possible.
Video AND audio, with sufficient volume and clarity capable of detecting the drop of a pin.
And sufficient image resolution to discern the hanging booger the teacher has yet to pick.
Pointless it would only expose how empty the classrooms really are.
Chicago doesn't have rank choice voting
Which is a point in and of itself.
Thus, not pointless.
The one term mayour demonstrates his stupidity publicly every time he opens his mouth.
To be fair I would say many (most ?) of the children are unfit for school.
