Wasn't Navy Pier the #1 tourist attraction in Illinois for a number of years running?
A man was killed in a stabbing Sunday at Navy Pier, and the suspect was seriously wounded. The incident happened around 5:30 p.m. in the 600 block of East Grand Avenue, Chicago police said.
A 56-year-old man and a 64-year-old man were in an argument at the location when the older man allegedly stabbed the victim multiple times with a sharp object, police said. The victim was taken to a hospital for multiple stab wounds to his upper body, where he was later pronounced dead.
The suspect was also taken to a hospital in serious condition with a stab wound to his chest. He is in custody, police said.

The pier IS probably the safest tourist destination, in the city. The amount of cameras cant be beat and the video quality is amazing. There is also an enormous amount of armed security, with armed retirees, off duty, on duty and bike teams. Sometimes the planets are aligned just so and bad things happen. Alcohol and hot weather MAY have been a factor.
If you build it? They will come and ruin it…..

Life Guard reports for work everyday , armed , never shot any young men.
After being threatened about pool closing early , finding his bicycle damaged , approached in what he took as a threatening manner. Not sure what or if any words exchanged . He shoots two. Sounds like he may have been the victim of a hate crime. Not that any 12-16 year old young men would ever beat someone to death, steal their money or bicycle.
No Bond ,He's a Threat? If he was a potential black 57 year old man, he would be given a medal. Were the offenders/victims honor students at CPS, perfect attendance like Laaquan McD??
