A brazen midday smash-and-grab burglary of a Rolex store on the Magnificent Mile ended with six suspects in custody on Friday afternoon, Chicago police said. An initial estimate valued the stolen goods at over $250,000.
Citing preliminary information, CPD said four males broke out an exterior glass window with an object around 2:37 p.m. and took property from within. The offenders fled on foot before entering a red Nissan SUV and fleeing southbound from the location.
Video recorded by a passerby, posted online Friday evening by @ChicagoCritter, shows one of the thieves smashing the store’s window with a tool, possibly a sledgehammer, and reaching through the hole to grab merchandise. The window next to him has a large gaping hole visible, too.
CWB has video and judging by the audio, it seems that filming the mayhem has become sort of a tourist-y attraction in its own right.

Wait hang on. What if this is advertised as a tourist attraction. Have the chance to get robbed beaten by a crazy homeless guys thats been arrested like 75 times and gets released every time. I bet they have been arrested before and were told by Social Agencies like LCLC that it was not their fault, that they could not understand what they did because their brain wasn't formed yet (Except it was ok to pick their gender and mutilate themselves) , and the Police be racist. They then went to juvenile court where auntie Kim supported them over the victims and gave them the number to COPA to mess with the Officers. Then the were told to keep voting Democratic.
Four males? They're in custody, but no one knows their race? What a mystery! I bet they're Asian.
Who would keep any store open with all that going on. No money is worth getting murdered.

Ahh remember the days when CPD staked out in the old trubune tower above the wgn sign for pickpockets or walked around with low crime and polite people? Remember when no one living there ever spotted a gang tag or knew what they meant until they tagged the racquet club or thieves stole antique light fixtures off of front porches or the occasional mugging on Astor or crazy Mary screamed from the state parkway sidewalk and lifted her skirt scarring men everywhere? Anyone have a way to follow up on bail status of these 6 offenders. Mentioned to a ahole brother-in-law who happens to be an attorney that it’s a shame these 6 will be out on bail shortly. With that Mr. Know It All started with thanks to the Safe-T Act these offenders committed a felony and forcibly fled. Therefore will be detained until trial. I almost threw up my dinner. I asked where he thought he was, Oak Brook or Carbondale? His comment was a Judge has no choice.

Off topic but just so people know, Hein has taken a red pen to all the To/Froms for next weekend and denied everyone asking to keep their RDOs. In a lot of cases he has approved time due requests where people are out of town with flights and hotels but then denied their RDOs. So basically have fun in Mexico but get new flights and eat the cost of the hotel cancellation so you can be back in time to work your RDOs.

Remember when young guys and girls on district tac teams took off their vests and put on real street clothes and walked around the streets at night to be decoys? Caught lots of robbery crews and the females caught lots of sexual deviants. The CPD would actually do police work.
