National Push to Kill SAFE-T

Restricting federal funding for states that support criminals? Sounds like what we voted for!
  • Nearly two weeks after President Donald Trump issued executive orders directing the Justice Department to take steps toward eliminating cashless bail nationwide, Republican lawmakers are moving to codify those orders with new legislation.

Sen. John Cornyn of Texas and Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee introduced two separate bills that would effectively punish states and cities with cashless bail laws by cutting off critical federal funding. The proposals, they argue, would “keep violent criminals off the streets” and restore public confidence in the justice system.

Cornyn’s “Keep Violent Criminals Off Our Streets Act” would amend the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 to bar Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grants from going to states or cities that restrict cash bail for certain offenses. Those grants are the leading source of federal criminal justice funding, supporting everything from police departments and drug treatment programs to mental health courts and crisis-intervention teams.

The odds of Conehead and Porkulous defending the wrong side of another 80-20 issue are nearly 100% at this point....because they're that stupid.

I can think of a few more ideas on how to ditch the Safety Act. Move away and or vote against Democrats.

Prediction. There's going to be too many black men in jail again. Don't do the crime if you can't do the time. While they're at it, stop with the pleading down....

The safety act is some 720 pages long and was passed just before midnight without very few of the politicians reading or understanding it.
It is all for the criminal and nothing for the victim.
It was created by the “black caucus” to aid the black criminal.
Like Preckwinkie said “there are too many black and brown men in jail”. Too bad she didn’t say “there are too many back and brown men committing crimes”

Maybe even a Nationwide Teump led COPA to suspend and strip democratic libtard politicians who violate their oath to the Constitution.

Executive orders backed up by pending legislation? Why, that's how our government is supposed to work...Thank you again President Trump!
Gov Fatso and mayor dummy can whine about it all they want. They are not going to be re-elected. Voters can see through their bullshit. And their bullshit stinks to high heaven.

Love hearing Democrats who didn’t have a clue saying Trump and his “Nazis” can’t do this. Those with minds who only want to remember what suits them forget about the Federal Government withholding funding from States that
refused to conform with mandated speed limit controls during gas shortages. How about when the Feds demanded a National drinking age of 21. No one except States who refused to conform when Federal were withheld were upset.
