Sometimes, reality is just too....unreal:
Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested the Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools, Ian Andre Roberts, a criminal illegal alien from Guyana, on Thursday.
Roberts, head of the largest public school district in the state, was in possession of a loaded handgun, $3,000 in cash, and a fixed blade hunting knife at the time of his arrest, according to a statement from ICE.
He entered the U.S. in 1999 on a student visa and in May of 2024, was given a final order of removal by an immigration judge. He also had existing weapon possession charges from 2020.
This shows how broken the system is:
- supposedly earned a doctorate here;
- overstayed his student visa;
- still got hired for a job;
- previous weapon violation (for a gun illegals supposedly can't get) - not deported;
- promoted to the head of the largest school District in Iowa at nearly $300K a year;
- final deportation order over a year ago - not deported;
- caught after a car chase and foot pursuit with another gun, cash and a knife;
Will be deported now, but it gets even better: The head of the Des Moines Public School Board that hired this ILLEGAL ALIEN for $300K despite no citizenship, gun charges and a deportation order?

She's running for US Senate now, no doubt to import more ILLEGAL ALIENS to run American school systems for hundreds of thousands of taxpayer dollars a year.

Haven’t these folks in Iowa ever hear of a background check and fingerprinting before hiring? This is beyond stupid. What a bunch of mutts.

He couldn't pass the background check to be a volunteer in an Iowa public school (asst coach, homeroom mother, etc).

Not only does the head of the DM school board have connections to Mooch Obama (she was her Chief of Staff) but the illegal alien Superintendent also knows Mooch. Such a good, connected DEI hire that they felt no need for a background check. If they had done one they might have discovered the whole illegal alien thing, plus possibly bogus college degrees plus his mediocre performance at his previous Supernintendo job.

Des Moines has a lot of libs. Thank God it only has about 300,000 people. Luckily the great majority of the state (Except Iowa city) is normal.
I applied for a part time retirement job at a local high school, not in Chicago, as part of the maintenance staff. I was a mower most of the time, grass around the school, the baseball and football fields. Applied and had a background check including fingerprints before being hired. Former Obama staff member hired this guy and that explains everything. Incompetent then, still incompetent. When is she getting canned?
It's crazy he was hired. When I retired I applied as a substitute teacher in the suburbs, public school system. I had to undergo a background check, sign forms regarding the email use, get a Drs note saying I was (reasonably) healthy, get my State teachers license which they , allegedly, did a check on my credentials. To top it off I had to sign a loyalty form to uphold the US and IL constitutions. This stinks and all involved need to be fired and investigated immediately.
