Another "Brandon Body"

But hey, there's no crime in Chicago if you ignore it:

  • A man fatally shot in an alley late Tuesday went undiscovered for about half an hour because no one called 911 to report the gunfire. The alley where the shooting occurred was previously monitored by the city’s ShotSpotter gunfire detection system until Mayor Brandon Johnson ended Chicago’s contract with the company in September 2023.

The 28-year-old victim was found shortly after 11:30 p.m. behind the first block of West 44th Street, police said. A 911 caller told dispatchers they had heard gunfire around 11:02 p.m. But they didn’t call for help until about 30 minutes later, when they looked outside and saw a man bleeding and lying on the ground.

If the neighborhood doesn't care to call about gunfire, then they can't really bitch and moan when bodies are lying around for nearly thirty-minutes after said gunfire occurred.

We just like posting about it because (A) it's a simple way to throw some shade at Conehead and (B) it's a sideways nod at the failings of the democrat voting base, not caring about blatant crime.

If there is one benefit, as it were, to these specific events, it is I can languidly chalk without having to, for the sake of modesty, be off and gone before any honorable humans arrive on scene.

This is a safer and cheaper system for everyone. The guy lying in the alley would not have uttered a single word about who shot him, taxpayers save millions in medical bills, and you don't have to pull up in the middle of a crime scene and ruin your career getting in a fire fight. It's all around a better solution.

Brandon Johnson stacking up bodies. All normal routine for a Democrat run city.

O.T. Since it's spooky season, anyone want to talk about the story of the ghost in the 12th District station lockup? Ask anyone working the desk or SDSC room and they will have a story to tell. The city could make money by charging visitors for a ghost tour...

I will save some of the those shooting victims. For now on I will call 911 to report I heard gun shots on the south side and west side, and they should look for a victim. Any bets they will find one?

"If the neighborhood doesn't care to call about gunfire, then they can't really bitch and moan when bodies are lying around for nearly thirty-minutes after said gunfire occurred."

That is logical thinking. When the politicians distract them from logic and reason and have them reacting emotionally, they will do just that.

For the past decade I've heard gunfire in my neighborhood at least once or twice a month. Finally stopped calling it in a year or 2 ago because it was pointless. Dispatch would repeatedly ask for an exact address of where the guns were fired - it's midnight, I'm inside my house trying to sleep, no idea where the guns are you neck-rolling moron. Closest I could offer was nearest major intersection. "I need an address, Sir." Every single time. And if you made a likely address up, CPD would really only appear once it became a 10-1 situation.

And the gang "controlling" our block (LK), somehow would know which houses were the ones calling 911. And harass them accordingly. They have moles in CPD & dispatch.

I think the events of the last few weeks has shown us, throughout Chicagoland, there is a large part of the population that really doesn't care about law and order. They are perfectly happy and content with laws not being enforced or any kind of peace and order.

yet when the po-leece shoot the armed career criminals there always seems to be about 100 witnesses to say the criminal had his hands up, said don't shoot and he gives up.

I’ve actually had to call 911 a few times in the past year. I cannot remember a time when it rang a dozen times -this seems to the norm now- especially if you call at night (crime never happens after dark anyway). Some say they’ve called with no answer- I guess this is also how you keep the crime stats down.
