CTU wants another day off even though they can't seem to teach kids to read or do math:
The Chicago Teachers Union has not been shy about flexing its political muscle in recent years and now its leadership is demanding a day-off from school on May 1, wanting a day of demonstrations and events that largely align with progressive policies.
The CTU is pushing a petition to close schools on May 1 so educators, activists and students can protest against a long list of grievances.
The union wants staff and students to use the date to protest everything from ICE arrests to school funding, housing costs and what they claim is the threat President Donald Trump poses to democracy.
And they choose May Day (the communist holiday) for this effort.
- State data shows 40% of students enrolled in Chicago Public Schools are chronically absent, meaning they miss 10 or more days per year. Also, 43% of Chicago teachers missed at least 10 days of school last year.

The Federal Government is offering the illegal aliens $3,000.00 to self deport and free airfare as well. We need to have a plan to offer to the Marxist Chicago Teacher’s Union as well. They can go where their rabid radical ideology is welcomed because they sure don’t like it here.
Half the students are being raised by a single mom. What do you expect? No discipline no structure no babysitter. CPS has an agenda to keep future non playing characters just that. Eventual adults who will show no resistance being raised by “the message”. Your average CPS student can’t point out Texas on a map but can tell you that orange man is bad.

How dare they! This is child abuse using and exploiting children for the CTU’s political purposes. Children and even teen’s minds are not developed enough to understand political processes. And of course they will sucked into protesting because they know they will need to please the teachers. Where are the parents, where is the City Council and the State House on dragging kids, who are not there’s (teachers) to protests?

I fully agree, but then again parents even coppers who are making good money use the money so they can have a fancy car and take fancy vacations. They don’t care about their biggest asset their children they send them to these garbage disposals.

In all reality I am surprised the CTU is even "asking" for this. If they all just didn't show up what would happen.....nothing. SDG could hold a press conference and say: "We are doing this and if you don't like it you're racist!!" and there wouldn't be anything anyone in power would do about it.

And the sad fact is, that's one thing those kids HAVE learned. I was assigned to tutor some of the yutes in Philadelphia and Cincinnati. The Cinci kids showed up on random occasions, and one kid actually stole his tablet during the tutoring session (he was still on video when he left the school with the computer). The yutes in Philly just never showed up. Why bother with education when you know you can whine and bellyache and get placed somewhere because "racism" and "white privilege"?
