"vetting delays" probably means they have outstanding tickets, fines, lawsuits or they haven't taken their Ethics Test yet this year. And they waited until 01 April for payroll purposes.

Local concerned englewood residents report hearing what sounded like possible high pitched female screaming and sobbing coming from the Lieutenants office from the Area 1 PRT building. 007 responded and coded the job when they couldn’t find the source of the alleged bellowing. One local witness who only identified himself as “Johnny from the bottle gang” said it was a loud screaming of “why, why didn’t I get a gold star again! I’m number one!” This report was not confirmed as Johnny took another hit from the bottle and sadly fell out. The investigation continues but the englewood community remains on edge.

The BIA has a Chief, Deputy Chief, Commander, and at least four Lt’s, one who is the commanding officer of confidential, and the unit is still a mess.

Jonathan Medina to Commander of the Bureau of Internal Affairs. He was a merit supervisor and did very little time in a district as a Lt or Sgt. The guy is a @$$ kissing tool. He loves to jam up officers and frame them. I guess that’s the experience needed to go from Sgt of BIA to Lt and now Commander. I lost ALL respect for how the CPD lets people rise to the top and picks Gold Stars. This guy gets me sick. For all the officers not getting it, guys like this get promoted, while you risk your lives and do good police work. It’s all a scam. Worry about yourself and your family. That’s all you can control. The CPD is only a job, nothing less nothing more.

So much for overhauling BIA or COPA. Stack the deck of fairness against the working guy. Promoting the Merit Lt JM to BIA Commander who has a history of not objectively investigating cases and having a predetermined outcome says a lot. I can only hope a higher power steps in and karma comes his way.
