Reports of a rowdy teen "takeover" in the streets of Hyde Park Monday night after daytime temps had topped off in the upper-70s.
Video is mostly on social media sites that we don't patronize, but it's good to see / hear that the non-demonized yutes are terrorizing the people that voted for exactly this type of behavior.
Hopefully they saw it up close and personal, because it's going to get even worse as the weather warms further and school lets out in a few months.

Of course in an interview conehead said those youtes need more community and faith based resources to steer them clear of these takeovers. Yeah like any of these mutts are gonna sit in a church or community center while all their friends and gang members wreak havoc in any given community sometimes more than one in a night.
I’m sure glad crime is down. Incidents such as this are sad for the hard working victims. I can only imagine the suffering to their families budget and mental health this vandalism did to them and the community at large. The politicians as always remain silent. The politicians are more worried about the illegals. The CPD Bosses go home to a quiet residence and forget about everything. Everyone wonders why the city is falling apart and the public want to move away.

The big problem is, not so much the people who voted these radical leftist Democrats in, but all the apathetic conservative, independents, middle of the road voters who fail to come to the polls to vote or fail to support candidates who could run against people like Brandon Johnson. The University of Chicago needs to do their part and be that solution. Open up your gymnasiums for basketball and declare your campus law enforcement free zones much like ICE free zones. Ban metal detectors and security cameras as these are symbols of racism and oppression. Encourage youth to visit the bias free campus and interact with the socially awkward intellectual community.
Offer educational workshops featuring the struggle of primitive culture evolution to advanced societies. Or offer radical economic studies highlighting modern day class struggles of the privileged class (Hyde Park social elites) oppressing government dependent class struggles as an alternative to Capitalism. Break that glass ceiling denying upward mobility redistributing both intellectual and economic resources. Offer free tuition to paroled felons or second chance inclusiveness granting any felon who wishes to earn college credit at little or no charge as an alternative to crime granting them unlimited access to the elite campus.
The U of C must be that pipeline to education providing alternatives to penal incarceration. Advocate for the construction of government subsidized low income public housing complexes on campus or mixed student/low income resident shared housing on campus providing everyday interactions with the campus community allowing a real world social laboratory. The most advanced minds can solve economic disparity, economic challenges and anti-social criminal behaviors at their doorstep, their university home. The U of C can be that Hope and Change not as a feel good deceptive politician campaign slogan, rather by practical application allowing human social experiments on their home turf providing those common sense solutions.
And the U of C has billions in endowments to redistribute in humanitarian aid. Money is not a limiting factor for this billionaire educational conglomerate. Lots of government money too. So spread some compassion to those who have been held down for generations. Practice those coveted Marxist and government social programs you advocate, profess and proliferate hypocrites.

Whenever it is covered by local news, the conversation always inevitably ends up with "Groups are focusing on access for things to do for young people." I get so tired of this narrative. It's not my job as a taxpayer to pay for your kids to have something to do. I didn't have them, they aren't my kids and if you weren't ready to parent them, don't fn have them. My mom grew up dirt poor in the city with just a mom. My dad grew up in a small town and both his parents worked full-time jobs. We grew up in the city, both our parents worked. My brothers played ball in the alley. I would go the YMCA with a friend. We picked garbage in the alleys, used our imaginations to build stuff out of the junk we found. We'd roller skate once in awhile. But this lot cannot do any simple activity without adding the element of destruction or chaos in its path.
