US Marshals grabbed the other robber:
A suburban man is charged with helping Alphonso Talley violently rob an Albany Park dollar store last Saturday morning, shortly before Talley allegedly went on to kill a Chicago police officer and gravely injure that officer’s partner by shooting them with a firearm he had hidden on his body after being arrested following the holdup.
A U.S. Marshals Task Force arrested Jeron Tate, 18, of Maywood, on Thursday in the 7500 block of South Carpenter Street, Chicago police said. He is scheduled to appear in court for a detention Since he was long gone before Talley got arrested, we don't think there's any way to stack Felony Murder charges on him.

However, there's plenty of pressure to bring to ensure he testifies against Talley regarding the initial armed robbery to get him a life sentence.

I am not a resident of Chicago and I am not law enforcement, although I was a deputy sheriff in Georgia for two years almost 50 years ago. I spent about four months of every year in Chicago on business in the late 1970’s and early 80’s, which led to my continuing interest in the city. Every day, I read this blog, and CWB, Chicago Contrarian, Hey Jackass and WirePoints. I am appalled at the “culture” of Chicago, which is lower than what you would find in any third world shithole. It’s like watching a movie portraying the complete collapse of civilization. Every aspect of this city is fucked up beyond redemption, from the government “leadership”, “education”, and citizenship generally. I admire the rank and file CPD for what they do (especially the stalwart cops who post here) but I am afraid you guys have no chance to overcome the system you are in. God bless you all and please protect yourself as best you can. You and your family deserve better than what you have.

Those idiots weren't in a car, they robbed a Family Dollar at 8am on a Saturday before they actually made ANY sales! And then got mad because there wasn't any cash! And they made their escape on scooters! CPS grads at their best! And I'm a CPS grad myself, but I refused to send any of my kids there! This wasn't a well thought out plan!

In Illinois is there such a thing as a " life sentence"? The Illinois Parole Board has let out more than one cop killer, reduced sentences on many convicted felons who were given sentences of decades and who were paroled. The time off for good behavior starts at day one. The entire system is out of control. Then again, you have witnesses recant decades later and the system lets the convicted ones out rather than let it stand for a retrial is almost impossible.

I took advantage of the 55 retirement package and the legislature in New York is taking note. They want to release all senior justice involved individuals after they turn 55 and served 15 years regardless of their crime. Kill two police officers? Mass shooting at a school? Murder and rape a child? Serial killer? No problem. Get out of jail when you turn 55 after you have done at least 15 years , so much for this "life with out parole." The progressive modern democrats are sick fucks but the voters are worse for enabling them.

Retired and moved out to N/W Illinois. Most of the city bullshit stopped at the county line until fat ass became governor. Have since moved out of state and have been back only once. Property taxes are 1/3rd what I paid in Illinois. I have watched the news and seen the huge businesses that have left Chicago and surrounding suburbs. Illinois seems on a fast track to do what Kalifornia is doing. Decriminalize everything, raise taxes, chase businesses out of the state and overregulate everything left behind.
