Another judge to vote "No" on:
A Cook County judge on Friday found a Chicago man not guilty by reason of insanity on all charges stemming from a 2022 home invasion in which he held a woman at knifepoint before stabbing a police officer who came to rescue her. The officer shot him.
Romaine Heath, 45, remains in custody and is expected to be ordered into treatment at a secure mental health facility. A follow-up hearing is scheduled for June 18 before Judge Nastosha Toller, who conducted the trial.
The story is hairy enough, but something is missing in the coverage again - any mention of medical examinations that determined the insanity.
We mention this only because we are reminded of the case where crooked and corrupt DEI "judge" Tyria Walton found Whitley Temple not guilty by reason of insanity and there isn't a single mention in the media of a medical examination by qualified experts determining the insanity.
Has this become a thing now? Someone claims insanity and no one checks with a doctor? Judges are now the doctors?

Judges might just as well be doctors, they are certainly not judges.
FYI, for those who have not worked these cases to conclusion, not guilty by reason of insanity (or not not guilty, as silly as it sounds) is sometimes the desired outcome. The alternative is just not guilty. Insanity generally results in commitment to a locked facility, sometimes forever.

The pet free condo that I retired too had a buyer who inquired about their "emotional support animal". The board demanded a letter from their psychiatrist for verification, yet these mutts get off with no documentation?
Which is why I always vote NO on every judge up for retention!
Bull shit. You clearly haven’t worked any of these cases either. Insanity is never an outcome the prosecution wants. Why? Because after treatment the offender will be “ healed” and ready to engage back into society. So, he/she/they will be released. Now, guilty/ mentally ill is another matter. They get “treatment” then it’s off to a cell to serve the remainder of the sentence. Stop giving uneducated, ignorant opinions regarding matters you know nothing about.
Basically, violent anti-social behavior is now “mental illness.” Victims not criminals. That’s exactly the outcome they want to pour money into more liberal NGOs that won’t actually address mental illness but instead give more tax payer money into democratic slush funds.
And the outcome? Released again to the streets? Sentenced to mental institution? Til cured?

They were asked if they wanted to be a DEI doctor or a DEI judge. It was their choice. So I guess they are qualified.
I never vote yes on any judge. Never have.

The problem is you have to proactively check no on judges. A blank vote is the same as a yes.
I was one of the first units on scene after they called a 10-1. The offender was not crazy when he was talking shit to us as we waited for EMS.
He also committed a home invasion across the street before he got into the house where he stabbed a PO.
He should be looking at 50 years for two home invasions, attempt murder, and kidnapping.
The family he victimizes were all nice snd normal people. They weren’t involved in any gang or drug activity.
Either the Justice System handles it or the Vigilantism System does. Choose wisely.
