Can We Demonize This One?

What do you think Conehead?

  • A 13-year-old boy was ordered held on gun charges Monday, hours after Chicago police publicly accused him of carrying out a weekend shooting that wounded four children in Bronzeville.

In a news release Monday morning, police said the teen pulled a gun around 9:40 p.m. Saturday in the 4500 block of South Prairie Avenue and opened fire on the four other boys.

Responding officers later found the boys — an 11-year-old, two 13-year-olds and a 14-year-old — suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. They were taken to hospitals in conditions ranging from good to fair. The suspected shooter was arrested about 20 minutes later in the 4600 block of South Calumet Avenue.

Luckily, it looks like Felony Review will get the charges downgraded for now:

  • Police initially said he was charged with felony counts of aggravated battery, unlawful possession of a weapon and having a gun without a license.

But the Cook County state’s attorney’s office later said he isn’t actually charged with the counts of aggravated battery tying him to the shooting. He appeared in court Monday and was ordered held on three counts of unlawful possession of a weapon. the state’s attorney’s office said.

In a second news release, issued after the hearing, police said “charges were amended in court pending additional investigation.”

Still, very much "demon-like" behavior.

Doesn't look like he can use the defense of Infancy - (720 ILCS 5/6-1) Infancy. No person shall be convicted of any offense unless he had attained his
13th birthday at the time the offense was committed.

I thought parents were gonna be held accountable. How come they are not charged like in other states where sons and daughters did shootings.

Parents should lose all public welfare benefits, including Medicaid, when their children commit crimes involving guns, drugs, or gangs. Gross failures by parents to raise their children should be met with serious repercussions.

Goes without saying that any kid who commits crimes involving guns, drugs or gangs should never set foot in a public school again. This kid has gone through 9 years of CPS education and has only learned the skills of a gang banger. if they want to be part of the loser lifestyle of the gangs, let them.

Illinois actually convicted the suburban father of that July 4th mass shooter, yet mysteriously the same method of criminal prosecution is never applied to parents of young Chicago shooters. Curious, no?

Question? Does the Chicago Public School teach right from wrong and morality any more. And the same question holds true for the parent(s), guardian(s), and the person(s) getting compensated via government entitlements.

I have personally witnessed numerous "juveniles" arrested for felonies sometimes violent ones with no parent present during the hearings. Instead courts substitute a government provided social worker, a public defender, probation officer and other assorted court provided parental obligation like guardians. And the judges do not hold parent(s) in contempt for not attending court appearances while juvenile social justice is served.

Contrast this with your juvenile son /daughter while actually licensed and insured captured on a red light/speeding violation camera while operating your legally registered vehicle resulting in written into law parental accountability. More accountability is legally exercised for monetary fines collected by private companies on behalf of the people's government than for violent criminal isolated 'incidents". In this case, a 13 year old who illegally possesses a firearm, discharged a lethal weapon at tender age juveniles striking and gunshot wounding four. You would think actual excessive use of force violence with a firearm would warrant a greater punishment like a long detention sentence, but realistically no punitive actions will be exercised against this little capone citing this mass shooter's age, not to be judged for his actions causing human suffering this active shooter caused for so many. Notice the slick slight of hand making this juvenile less responsible because of his age not his accomplished violent proclivities.
