Vigilante Story Falls Apart
Sounds like a bunch of drunk idiots:
Friday afternoon began with reports of a sexual assault and two stabbing victims at State and Lake.
By the end of the night, detectives were telling a different story.
Initial police reports described a sexual assault, a fight, and a woman stabbing two men.
Hours later, detectives revised the incident, changing the alleged sexual assault to “unwanted contact” and ultimately determining that only one person had actually suffered a laceration.
And the "eye-stabbing"?
- Questions also remain about how the 25-year-old man received his injury, why an alleged eye stabbing was later removed from the narrative, and what evidence led detectives to revise the incident from a reported sexual assault to unwanted contact.
And here we were hoping that there might be a "fighting back" trend developing, but probably not. We guess it will all have to continue getting worse before it gets better.

Ah yes, it’s going to be such a joyous day when I retire at 50 from this job. Unlike a lot of my contemporaries, I’m not divorced, I pay no child support, nor have I ever needed this job to have some type of “Identity.” The question is often asked (usually by coworkers that aren’t friends) : What will you do for insurance? Don’t worry about it. Just leaving this job early will work wonders for my health.
Well, what will you do then? You have to do something! I’m often asked. To them I say I’ll become a bounty hunter. Or maybe I’ll finally get my dream job working the cash register at a pornography store. Don’t worry about it clowns. This job has only gotten lamer and lamer. If people want to stay because they are stuck or just not intelligent to imagine a life doing anything else then they have my sympathies. I’m blowing this pop stand
Typical detective work, lower the charge to reduce their work. You want a felony? The victim has to stay at the area for 12 hours or they lower the charges to misdemeanor and its gone.
Just standard ghetto antics, nothing to see here.
This all sounds like ghetto nonsense. A recent trend amongst the criminal class is get loud and accuse a person of touching a woman's private parts, saying racist words, etc...
So now this gives them permission to beat you. When will this insanity stop? When will people start standing up to them?
These teen take overs would immediately stop if people got together and started to fuck with them. Just one time and those take overs would end.

Unfortunately, the demographic most prone to fighting back is the one that most frequently needs fighting back against.
Typical social media officers- calling in a scenario that is overhyped. Simple questions that can garner a true motive does not compute for this generation of swiped left or right.

So wanted contact is when you ask the offender to stab or shoot you.

Bad call stud. Go to church, pray about it. Stay till 55 and then you can leave. PS....stay out of porn shops and stay off public aid. If you don’t have reasonable health insurance the stats are that 90% of that bucket of people go on public aid insurance.

You are on the right path. There are plenty of part time jobs with health insurance. The post office is one option. They get health care on day one and it is great health care. Lose the bitterness and just be glad that you made it out. Make the most of it, and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Leaving Illinois is the smart play. Proprty taxes are less than half elsewhere.
Even the detectives got sucked into this debacle. They should have told the paper car, "You got nothing kid"

I ran when they afferred the 55 and out with FREE Insurance. Moved out of state just shortly after.

Don't listen to the deep in debt wanna be players. The city was in trouble in 2003 and suddenly offered a buyout. I barely qualified at 51 and 2 weeks later I was retired. I went back to work in a couple months in the private sector and made more than I did before with the pension and salary including taking the winter off for the first time. Most people don't plan anything they just go along like a mope and react after the fact. At 50 years old a normal MAN shouldn't need health insurance. Women and kids are a different story. The absolute best move I ever made, got the stink of the city off me, got away from the grifting politicos, and worked when and where I wanted if I felt like it till 65 yrs old. I now have 2 pensions and ss and make almost 200 k a year and sleep in every day. Don't listen to the losers, make your own luck. Cheers.

Going back many years, I remember a quote from a detective in Cali- “Everything that comes out of their mouth in the first 15 minutes is always a lie”. Perchance that happened here. That “sex in the afternoon” story on a downtown street sounded iffy from the get go!
Responding officers are too scared to be the preliminary investigators. Common sense is long going. They think taking everything at face value and arresting everyone is the right answer. In their mind, that shifts their liability away. Wait until they get a few false arrest lawsuits and their opinion might change.
If they did a halfway decent preliminary investigation, they would realize everyone lies, most cases are nonsense, and detectives RWOC someone just makes the officers look incompetent, not the other way around.

"Everyone lies"? Really? You are the type of police officer who tries to get out of every job and leaving it for someone else. Because in your mind "everyone lies" so why even do my job.
Good for you. I know over a dozen coppers and dicks that retired at 50. Some regret it but most don't. If your plan is to retire and live outside this ghetto city (or Illinois) then yeah the sooner the better. You can find a part-time job at Home Depot, Bass Pro Shop or Amazon nearly anywhere in the country.
