If you didn’t see it, try catching the 250th Independence Day celebration of the Country from the Washington DC Mall. Great entertainment and most spectacular fireworks display in history.
Glad the 4th is over it was crazy out there. Never saw it so busy. I think I had the blue lights on all night. Probably hit the medical the next few.
This will be a well earned day of rest. It got really crazy out on the streets last night.
On furlo and out of state …so I’m relaxed and fresh enjoying the day. Never work this holiday I learned years ago.
I know I sound like a Karen but, I thought there was a curfew for juveniles in Chicago. So why did I see on my security cameras a whole group of unescorted kids pass by my home at 2:30 AM Sunday morning? Reactive, not proactive policing in Chicago!

Navy pier had the best fireworks for sure last night. Kids loved it. Thanks to the folks at the pier for the awesome display!!

I’m still wondering what the real story with the VRI back pay is? How much is really owed to us? Is it 100 million or is it 650 million? Are we really getting 5 percent interest every month that we’re not paid back? If that’s true it’s 5 million in interest every single month. Nobody seems to know any answers? I heard this next contract FOP wants to change the medical for retirement. The FOP agreed with the membership and wants anyone with 29 years and a day to get medical even if you’re not 55 years old. City agrees that it’s not fair that someone with 20 years on can get medical because they’re 55 years old and someone with 32 years on can’t get it because he’s only 54 years old. City wants it to be 29 and a day on the job or 60 years old. What is your thoughts SCC?

Why did we have officers assigned on the west side to stand on corners in the hood to babysit illegal block parties and then react once 7 ppl got shot in front of them. Sounds like the VRI money is a done deal. Hopefully they drag their feet even longer. The court said 5 percent a month. If you worked it for all those years you’ll get between 50,000 and 100,000.
