Stolen Gun
You ever notice that one of the statistics that never gets mention much is how many guns that are used in crimes are actually stolen guns? Many times when there's a shooting, the lib-tards complain about how easy it is to get a gun, that they're bought and transported over state lines, that we just need to ban guns outright to stop crime.
If you do a google search on "stolen guns used in crimes" you learn that:
- Stolen guns are significantly more likely to be used in crimes, with studies showing that stolen firearms have nearly nine times the likelihood of being involved in criminal activities compared to legally acquired guns.
So if you leave your gun in a parked car....let's just say in suburban Park Ridge....and someone breaks into said car and steals the firearm, why should anyone else be restricted from buying or owning a firearm because you were stupid with yours? Should it matter that you're the wife of a former high ranking CPD member from an east coast city? What if that stolen gun is used in a couple of armed robberies? Maybe an aggravated battery? God forbid a killing or three? That could really screw up Conehead's "crime is down" narrative.
We were just wondering. And we're wondering which media outlet might actually report this without telling anyone where they found out about it.
Labels: gun issues, suburban, un-fucking-believable

*raises hand, waves it around* ooooooh call on me Teacher...
ok anon... what's the answer?
ABC 7?
yup! gold star!
Well said. Really hope the media runs with this. Can we also call out others morons. Mass Transit boss AO has been given unlimited OT budget yet savage crimes are still happening daily. Dump this for! Or promote him for failure lije past practices
Pray tell us that it wasn't the tiny dancer's guy?!
following...
The white libs of park ridge could do no wrong!
Maybe his Fox 32 team can ask him that very question. When he makes another episode showcasing his badass crime fighting skills to go along with his faux knowledge of Chicago violence. Maybe he can team up with Riccio and become BatX and Robb’s.
Well how is the street light shooter doing? And his wife, the lawyer? Must be nice to have a such a great history. And do you really believe the handgun was stolen from a car? There was no proof of this crime. But the word at the country club is he lost it while out drinking……which seems more probable?
Sorry but he was a lush when working for CPD and then the small town he works for says he is useless in command!
Or perhaps how a gun that was in POLICE Custody ended up missing???? Hmmm, so many questions, little answers.
Every time you are forced to leave your weapon in your vehicle to avoid carrying into a restricted area, CC civilians are between a rock and a hard place.
The Pickwick is a nice theatre.
Don’t you mean the current 189 Lt and a former Supt girlfriend?
And when a gun is recovered, and ATF does a gun trace, why is the name of the original purchaser never made public?
How about the recruit that “lost” his Glock .45 after leaving it on his porch after his arduous day at the academy (JK-406952) in the 009th District.
What a “maroon”…….he should be fired immediately
Trace those guns. Punish the last negligent owner.
What is wrong with leaving a firearm in a locked vehicle? If someone has to break into the vehicle to locate the gun you protected your weapon. What if someone breaks into your house and takes your gun when no one is home? Is that the homeowners fault? Nope. What am I missing here.
My .380 LCP is in my pocket everywhere-hospital, theater, Jewel, walk in the woods with the kids-where there is not a scanner. Everywhere. And no one knows I have it. And most places that do scan for weapons will allow you to secure it if you ask. Bad shit happens in “Tosca” and I wish the Lyric Opera would be a little more understanding and let me keep it in my pocket…
Hold up, guys,...Tennessee decriminalized thefts of firearms
stolen from cars of their residents. They said they didn't
want to prosecute their residents for their carelessness.
Yeah, the recruit is dumber than his action. He should be fired.
Car is not a house, fool.
Car break-ins were the source of a whopping 40% of gun thefts last year.
The Chicago Police Department warns that the problem has recently become especially serious in the South Loop. During the course of 15 different car break-ins there since the end of July, unsecured guns were stolen in 14 of them.
CBS News Chicago did some digging and found that just last year, the Near South Side community area—which includes much of the South Loop—saw 20 stolen guns from cars. But the worst spots were Austin on the West Side—with 52 guns stolen from cars last year—and the West Loop, with 36 guns stolen from cars in 2023.
Setting aside this particular example of a "stolen" gun, plenty of straw purchasers falsely report their gun stolen after handing it off to whoever they actually bought it for.
CPD arrest 1,000’s of people for gun offenses . The liberal courts let them out of jail. Democrats are the cause of crime. Person who had his weapon stolen is a victim.
The pickwick is nice, cute little uptown area. Highly recommended.
How is it wrong leaving my firearm in a locked vehicle? Maybe we should ostracize breaking and stealing from the car, right?
The East Coast Street Light Assassin is no longer employed by the small village. The East Coast Street Light Assassin was as useless asT*ts on a Bull, he took narcissism to a new level. The guy is full of Bullsh*t
They make safes for the house and your vehicle. All you have to do is buy one.
Totally agree. Public transportation is exactly a spot you would need to protect yourself.
Once asked the question
How did you know there was a gun in the car?
We watched him get out of the car, take the gun from his waistband put it under his seat and walk away.
A recruit in the academy had a gun stolen from his home. It's in the AMC
Name the original purchaser to who?
Stupid question
What we really need are stricter and more comprehensive stolen gun laws!!!
Are you sure it made its way from being on a piece of paper to the place guns go
"Democrats are the cause of crime." That statement is absolutely brilliant.
Ursitti you don’t deserve your spot. You were never the real police. How can you sit there and say that you deserve to be the First Deputy. Why don’t you start learning the streets and learn crowd management control. You are only book smart.
To Quote a former Superintendent:” I have more questions than answers.”.
Got nothing to do with you not being a victim. But if it is taken from your car, there is another Fuckhead with a gun. Just saying to be careful when you leave home or work with your weapon knowing you will need to lock it in your vehicle. Not many hiding spots in your vehicle that these thieves don't know about. If you carry it "tight" into a restricted place with no scanning devices, I will risk it. If they call the police, act stupid that it was "tight" and you forgot.
Don't carry it like a cowboy or gunslinger. No one has to know you are the police. People don't get challenged bring dogs into a store or restaurant, so probably want to go to a friendly place where everybody knows your name!
For those of us non-police who the F are we talking about?? An ex FBCry agent, an NYPD great??? Who be the spouse of an idiot??
Funny you should mention that.
Did anyone see the message on the homepage today that a recruit in the academy “lost their gun”?
Not quite sure how that happens, or what the repercussions are, but anything goes at the academy these days with the current standard of recruits.
Park Ridge, the new Oak Park. Same BS.
Yeah 12 hour shifts & getting dumped in the Guetto!
I’ve seen that Lyric opera crowd….i think you can take ‘em
Did the recruit secure the handgun in some manner?
Like a safe?
The lock that all guns come with?
A pair of fucking handcuffs?
Or was it just laying on the counter?
There’s a small difference…
Hey that’s the chief of willow springs wife you’re talking about!
FYI Lutheran General hospital in PR now has metal detectors' and signs are up before you enter
Sure blame the victim. What kind of society is this when any belonging placed in a vehicle is fair game for theft? Idiotic post.
$5 says that rash of South Loop "guns stolen from cars" was a straw purchaser hustle
Been that way for a while now
Only at the ER entrance.
What 12:41 said about straw purchaser hustle
PPO’s cannot purchase .45 acp guns. I’m sure it was a Glock G45, which is a 17/19 hybrid. Good gun, not deserving of this nitwit. Remember the marine ppo who was fired for shooting at a range to get better and forgot there was one in the chamber? He got canned for trying to improve, but being negligent. This was pure stupidity, for being soft.
Visitors entrance also at Lutheran not just the ER.
The only weapon I ever leave unattended in my vehicle is my SLEDGEHAMMER.
I really can’t stand some coppers. Think they know everything. Don’t care who the burglary to vehicle victim was there’s no story here.
So when I buy a “car safe” and some asshole breaks into it to steal my weapon am I still an idiot for leaving my weapon in the vehicle??? You guys are fricken idiots. Gun out of view in a locked vehicle. Nothing to see move on. Stop blaming the fricken victim.
