Crazy Suburban Crime

Yeah it's the burbs and it has a Chicago connection, but damn, this story is crazy:

• Officials released new details on the Chicago woman charged after a deadly shooting at Oakbrook Center mall last month.

  A judge denied the pre-trial released of Chance Jamerson, 29, on Tuesday. Prosecutors accuse her of orchestrating an armed robbery with Justin Hill, the man who died in the shooting. Jamerson faces three counts of attempted armed robbery in connection to the shooting at Oakbrook Center mall on September 30.

  Prosecutors say she was in a black Mercedes with three other people in the parking lot of the mall, after acquiring a number of Swatch watches. That's when police say a man, now identified as Hill, pulled up behind them in a Nissan Rogue, blocking in their vehicle. Hill then allegedly walked up with a firearm and said he was robbing them.

  Prosecutors believe this was a set up orchestrated by Jamerson and Hill. "The driver of the Mercedes began wrestling with Hill over the gun," DuPage County State's Attorney Robert Berlin said. "While he was wrestling the defendant in this case chance Jamerson began to fight the driver this is what made the driver of the Mercedes believe that chance had set him up."

  That's when prosecutors say the driver shot and killed Hill and shot Jamerson in her abdomen.

So she set up a fake armed robbery with her primary accomplice, and the guy who was supposed to be the unknowing accomplice managed to disarm the fake robber, shoot and kill him, then gut shot her.

Everyone else got RWOC, and somehow, she got detained.

Like we said, crazy.
