Welcome to Federal Charges
The Cook County misdemeanors morphed into Federal felony charges:
There’s good news and bad news for a Northwest Side man accused of pointing a laser at a Chicago Police Department helicopter this summer. The good news: Cook County prosecutors dropped three misdemeanor disorderly conduct charges against him stemming from the incident. The bad news: Federal prosecutors have now charged him with a felony that carries a potential prison sentence of up to five years.
On August 11, a CPD helicopter crew reported that someone was pointing a laser at the aircraft as it flew over Hermosa around 9:30 p.m., according to a CPD report reviewed by CWB Chicago. The helicopter’s onboard equipment enabled the crew to locate the person shining the laser, track him, and guide ground units to his location. Sophisticated mapping and night-vision camera systems helped the officers pinpoint the laser to a man standing on the second-floor rear deck of a home in the 4200 block of West Dickens Avenue.
We're glad the pilots are okay and even happier the helicopter is flying again.

OT, PSA - make sure to check on any sux fans you know. WOW, what a humiliating choke job ! 🤣
Johnny Boy Catanzara will be hearing the very same song in the near future.
Crime is down nationwide and democrats refuse to believe its because of President Trump. Aside from the fact the border is closed and deportations are up the other reason is fear of Federal prosecution. Hard-core criminals aren't stupid, they are well aware that if their case gets picked up by the Feds it's hard-core time. As a side note a firing squad and a public execution also has the desired effect.
How many playoff games did the Cubs win?
Was a choke job, but still won 4 more post season games than the scrubs.
The current state’s attorney is only marginally better than the last one.
Yeah ok, been hearing that for the last 2-3 years now.
Pic is just what i expected
In the Tribune today: Chicago police say they have solved the 1960 murder of eight-year-old Gloria Kowalewicz. The suspect is Thomas F. McInerney, a CPD officer who was 24 at the time.
Gloria disappeared on November 12, 1960, while walking a few blocks from her West Englewood home to church. Her body was found hours later in a wooded area of Palos Park, more than 15 miles away. She had been shot twice in the head. Despite a massive search and more than 1,300 interviews, the case went cold, and the funeral drew over 1,000 mourners.
Cold case detectives identified McInerney through a series of forensic steps:
2010: DNA testing of Gloria’s dress produced a male profile from semen, but CODIS leads cleared the suspects it generated.
2024: Her coat was submitted for investigative genetic genealogy, which compares DNA against family-tree databases.
July 2026: McInerney was identified as the source of the semen.
Corroboration: His 1959 police application fingerprints matched a print on Gloria’s purse strap, and he owned three Colt revolvers, the type of gun used in the killing.
McInerney had no known prior contact with Gloria and is not suspected in other crimes. He remained with CPD until 1987, working as a patrol officer and later a detective, and died in Las Vegas in 2006, so he was never held accountable. Gloria’s brother Adam, born months before her death, said the news gave the family some peace but lamented that McInerney escaped justice. The article also quotes Chief of Detectives Kevin Bruno, who called the officer’s role deeply troubling and said police would not minimize it.
Vote Republican on or before November 3.
Off subject; The other night(0300hrs) a group of misguided individuals that have committed numerous crimes in the Bronzeville and Bridgeport area were observed by an alert citizen committing a break in. 3 individuals entered the business, one armed (displaying weapon) remains outside and the driver. Miracle, unit one block away responds and suspects flee. One car length between vehicles, white shirt immediately calls it off.
You too can commit numerous crimes and if the police catch you in the act flee and because of general orders no one will chase you
Children are being killed at random on the streets of Chicago. Why doesn’t the media ask our politicians about their failing policies. I guess it’s easier to talk about the weather.
You’re such an idiot. That white shirt might’ve just saved the careers of whoever was chasing. Get it through your head, the city does NOT want us to chase. At all! Why is that so hard to comprehend? Let them go and continue to collect your check. Or try to be a cowboy and see how fast your ass gets hung out to dry by people you thought would have your back.
Out of morbid curiosity, are you under the impression that people who commit similar crimes (say gun crimes) and are charged in the Northern District, that they typically receive lengthier sentences than had they been charged in Cook County? If you are, you should check your math......
Charges would have been approved if he threw a Dr. Pepper at the helicopter when Cabrini Kim was on it.
It’s a property crime in the ghetto. Nobody cares.
At least we have the Bears.

Absolutely mind blowing:

Did you know CPD helicopter pilots pay out of their own pockets for flight training, bring law enforcement experience to the cockpit, and still make less than civilian pilots who have never worked a day in law enforcement. Two highly specialized skill sets that the city benefits from in one paycheck. Only in Chicago.
RE:11 October at 1024 Hours.
Even though McInerney is dead, what should the investigative follow-up be?
Statistically, it is very unlikely that Kowalewicz was his one and only victim, whether in Illinois and/or Nevada.
At the time, in 1960, Fingerprint Classification required all Ten(10) Prints, and that Single Fingerprint Searches were next-to-impossible, but given the fact that there was a print on on the girl’s purse strap, maybe more could have been done. This was a generation before my time.
Wow. He r@ped/murdered an 8 yo and was a LEO? Disgusting. Well he's rotting in hades. Glad it was finally solved but angry he got away with it.
Then fly to oil rigs in the Gulf. You won't get 180 sick days and apid parental leave.
I was told we sent someone to pilot school in the company's dime?
I looked into helicopter training when I got my fixed wing license. It's expensive and difficult to learn and in my opinion dangerous. And there are several hours of skilled maintenance for every flight hour. Knowing how the city maintains everything else, I would say fuck it and fly privately. I was told at the time, only the VERY rich, and the enlisted can afford to fly helicopters. That is all.
I hope so, but we have also been hearing that for years and its just like the democrat scum in Congress like Ilhan or whatever the fuck that Somalian bitch who married her brother still collecting a paycheck and donations
How many did post season games did Cleveland win?
3 STRAIGHT 🤣😂🤣
Abe Lincoln on said a man who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client!
root beer
Bravo to those that solved this tragedy⭐️
I was told we sent someone to pilot school in the company's dime?
They pay for their own training, the dept sends them for the factory training on the make and model of the aircraft.
Unless you’re their Sgt. Who should not even be flying according to the NOJO but the department spent 100k on his training.
Thank you for posting the Trib story, I refuse to pay for a subscription.
