Hilarious
This idiot might as well have used something like Facebook Marketplace:
A Chicago man who federal prosecutors say fatally shot another man and then sold the murder weapon to an undercover agent has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, officials said.
Levion Thomas, 31, pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm but, according to Cook County court records, has not been charged with the murder that officials pinned on him.
But federal prosecutors presented extensive evidence that Thomas used the Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol to kill 31-year-old Troy Pouncey on the afternoon of March 5, 2023, in the 7100 block of South Calumet Avenue, steps from William Meyering Park’s children’s playground.
Two weeks later, on March 20, Thomas sold the same gun to an undercover law enforcement officer in the parking lot of a strip mall in Burnham, Illinois. Ballistics analysis confirmed that the pistol Thomas sold was the firearm used to kill Pouncey.
He'll likely never be charged with the murder unless he confesses to it. But circumstantially, will the Detectives Exceptionally Clear/Close it for statistical reasons?
