More Hypocrisy

As the "debate" rages, more and more examples of the leftist hypocrisy come to light:
  • SCC, check this one out: WLS radio 890am: Jim Johnson, station reporter, reported that Mayor Emanuel was " outraged" that the NRA suggested putting trained armed security/police officers in all schools in response to the recent shooting at the Newtown elementary school.

Oh, outraged huh? Gee, if he's soooo outraged, then why doesn't he pull his kids out of the LAB School at the U of C campus. Guess the 2 U of C armed police officers that work the Lab School everyday just make for such a scary and unsafe environment. Oh wait, if he did that then he just might have to enroll his kids in the local CPS school by his house!?!?! Wait, that can't happen. CPS is just good enough for the peasants kids but not for his little angels. Double standard hypocrite.
Not to mention the armed security taking them from door-to-door. Are they using Rahm's SUV? You know, the black one with the bulletproof glass and armored chassis?

We thought it was "for the children," not just Rahm's children.

Don't forget about the grade school his kids attended at Grace and Broadway. Anshe Ehmet has at least three armed off duty chicago police officers on the property at all times year round. Any time the kids go outside, anywhere, they are shadowed by one or two police officers. The building is also surrounded by a brick wall and fence and is monitored by surveillance cameras all over the property, which a police officer also monitors. Rahm and his family have been protected by armed law enforcement for their entire lives.

How's that gun control working out in Mexico?

Something like 60,000 homicides since 1998 and heads of bodies rolled into discos like bowling balls.

Then there's the mayors....

Former Mexican mayor found beaten to death | Fox News

www.foxnews.com/.../former-mexican-mayor-found-beaten-to-death...

Nov 26, 2012 – The former mayor of a Mexican town-- who survived two earlier assassination attempts-- was found in a ditch, beaten to death.

Correct me if I'm wrong but that one makes it 12 mayors from various parts of Mexico shot or beaten to death.

Yet Mexico has just one government run gun shop with normal citizens required to jump through all kinds of gun control hoops to obtain a gun for personal protection.

The ban hasn't stopped the gun violence there.

Who are the Mexican police assigned to concentrate on protecting with all this chaos? The political class and the affluent.

Same track Chicago is on. How many body guards does Rahm have, alderman Burke have, the ex-mayor Daley have.

Who has the rights to carry firearms. The aldermen Burke with his PI business and congressman Trotter was his name? With his p-i business.

Funny, why doesn't the media check into how many private investigator licenses are issued to politicians or their politically connected hacks so that they are allowed to carry concealed weapons using the business as a loophole.

Just like Mexico and India. The plutocracy marches forward.

Supplier Sells 3.5 Years of AR-15 Clips in 3 Days

(Newser) – More apparent fallout from the Connecticut shooting: Sales of AR-15 clips are so through the roof that the world's biggest firearm supplier apologized this week for delays, Raw Story reports. "It really has been unprecedented in the last 5 days," wrote a spokesman from Brownells on the AR15.com forum. In fact, 3.5 years' worth of clips have sold over 72 hours for the AR-15, which is similar to the weapon used to murder 20 elementary school children in Newtown, Connecticut. "We’re working like crazy to get these orders to you as quickly as possible," the spokesman added. (Meanwhile Dick's Sporting Goods has stopped selling some semiautomatic rifles, which are selling fast at Walmart.)

Oh well. Rahm's on vacation in Vietnam to show his kids how the churls live. Look at these poor bastards you don't want to end up like them do you??

Meanwhile back home...

The world’s largest supplier of firearms on Thursday said that it had experienced “unprecedented” demand for AR-15 ammunition magazines after a similar weapon was used to slaughter 20 6- and 7-year-old children at a school in Connecticut.

In a statement on the AR15.com forum, Brownells spokesperson Jason Corpus apologized to customers for delays in fulfilling their orders of assault weapon clips.

“I wanted to take a minute to shed some insight on the magazine situation if i can,” Corpus wrote. “First of all I wanted to offer an apology for the situation that Pacs and anyone else encountered with magazines being ‘In-Stock’ and Backordered moments later… the demand for magazines actually exceeded the ability for the system to keep up with the volume that was being ordered.”

Corpus explained that the company’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) computer system had been flooded with orders after the tragedy in Connecticut.

“To shed some more light on the magazine situation at present, it really has been unprecedented in the last 5 days,” he continued. “[W]e sold the ‘average demand’ equivalent of about 3 1/2 years worth of PMAGS, and and an even greater amount of our Brownells magazines. We’re working like crazy to get these orders to you as quickly as possible.”

Corpus later corrected his statement to clarify that the 3.5 years worth of magazines had actually been sold in 72 hours — or three days — instead of five days.

“On the Brownells 30 and 20 round magazines, we’re still flowing those into the system daily, and are producing those at 100% capacity as well,” he said. “We ordered more material yesterday that will allow us to up production again in the coming weeks.”

A search of Brownells’ online store showed on Friday that the top 10 most popular AR-15 clips — including the Surefire high-capacity 100 round magazine — were out of stock

I can't...wow, I told y'all it was like a Black Friday sale.

-------

The possibility of new gun control laws in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. school shootings has prompted panic buying of guns both nationwide and in Oshkosh.

Brisk to quadruple sales of handguns—particularly those with high-capacity magazines—and AR-15 military-style rifles have left two Oshkosh gun dealers with virtually none of these firearms left in stock. Ammunition and spare magazines for them have also flown off the shelves this week.

David Sommerfeldt, business manager of Precision Sports Inc., 4717 Highway 44, Oshkosh, said he sold 75 AR-15 rifles and 100 AR-15 lower receivers in two days, “which is insane.” He normally sells three or four AR-15 rifles a day, since the shop specializes in military-style precision firearms.

Semi-automatic AR-15 rifles consist of an upper and a lower receiver, which are held together with two pins to form a complete rifle. There are 33 makers of this semi-automatic, civilian version of the M16 rifle, a full-auto weapon first used in Vietnam and still the most popular rifle with law enforcement and the military.

“I sell more ARs for traditional deer hunting than anything,” Sommerfeldt said. He noted they are relatively light weight, have low recoil and are reliable.

****

Sommerfeldt’s customers also bought his entire supply of 30-round AR-15 magazines as well as high-capacity Glock and Sig Sauer pistol magazines. He also sold all 150 of the store’s 420-round metal canisters of the AR-15’s standard .223 ammo.

Handgun sales last week were “quadruple what they are normally,” he added. Each handgun purchased requires a call to the state’s Handgun Hotline, with a confirmation number provided for the paperwork. The last digits represent the number of handguns sold in the state that day. He said prior to Obama’s comments, the number was 200 or 300 a day. Wednesday’s number on the last gun he sold was 744, and Handgun Hotline was still open for a few more hours.

At Jon’s Sport Shop on Jackson Street, handgun and AR-15 rifle sales also have been brisk, owner Jon Gafner said. He did have a few of the rifles left, but said the big problem for small dealers would now be getting new supplies of the hot-selling firearms.

Gafner, like many other gun dealers, also sells online at sites like Gunbroker.com. He noted that a Springfield Armory XD 9mm pistol he had listed on there for 9 months suddenly received about 100 e-mails from interested buyers. And the price of a Colt-brand AR-15 that was about $1,200 on the secondary market a short time ago is now $2,195 to $2,595 on gunbroker.com.

Gunbroker and other firearms websites have added about 2,000 buyers and sellers a day in recent weeks, Gafner said. Guns must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License holder to order most firearms online.

Gaffner fears Congress will approve and people will support draconian gun-control measures because they are the easiest response to a complicated issue.

“They’re going to put a Band-Aid on a problem that goes way deeper. People are angry. They want retribution. They can’t hate the kid because he killed himself. They can’t hate the parent because he killed her ... People are mad they have nobody to punish or sue. They turn their anger somewhere. ”

Had the shooter, Adam Lanza, used a shotgun with buckshot, the death toll could have been much higher, he added.

He thinks the long-term solutions to such massacres include teaching children the reality of shootings, noting that the top-selling video games all feature “body counts,” and appropriate sentences for criminals.

“I think every kid should be dragged into a coroner’s office to see a dead body,” he said, noting that he once worked for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and had to attend autopsies involving accidental shootings. And he said four armed burglars with previous felony convictions had taken $53,000 worth of guns from his shop in 2003, but did not get the mandatory 10-year sentence for using guns in the commission of a crime as they were supposed to.

Meanwhile, he noted, the TSA has banned such things as fingernail clippers on airplanes in response to the 9/11 terror attacks.

“Do I feel safer? No, we overreacted,” he said. “Criminals and sick people are not affected by gun laws.”

Hawaii...

....HPD Capt. Andrew Lum confirmed that through Nov. 30, HPD had registered 23,643 new handguns and long arms. With a month to spare, that figure broke the record 23,443 guns registered in 2011.

A surge in gun sales occurred after Obama's re-election on Nov. 6 as many worried that the Democrat's return to the White House would signal a push for stricter gun laws.

HPD had earlier reported that at the end of October, there had been 20,991 guns registered for the year, meaning a staggering 2,652 new guns were approved in November alone. A sign on the front door of HPD's Records and Identification Division put up on Nov. 26 warned people that they should not expect service if they arrive after 3 p.m., 90 minutes before closing time, and see a long line.

That was before Newtown.

By Friday, people were starting to line up as early as 3 a.m. at the Records and Identification Division.

On Friday, at OGC Tactical in Kalihi, managing member Carter Berlin said the number of people gathering in his shop "got a little ridiculous" during the week, especially after Obama held a Washington news conference on Wednesday to announce the formation of a task force headed by Vice President Joe Biden to come up with stricter gun law proposals.

Sales of AR-15s went up an estimated tenfold from Wednesday through Friday, Berlin said. His stock of those weapons went from 140 at the beginning of the week to four late Friday, and he was showing two of them to potential customers when the Star-Advertiser reached him by telephone....

A good number of those making the purchases are first-time buyers, he said.

"We have people coming in saying, ‘I always wanted to get one, so I will buy one now while I still have a chance.'"....

CPS PE Teacher Faces Investigation Again

BY MAUDLYNE IHEJIRIKA Staff Reporter mihejirika@suntime.com December 19, 2012 4:22PM

A Chicago Public Schools gym teacher and former coach with a history of allegations of inappropriate behavior with students was removed this week from Lane Tech College Prep, in the wake of inquiries by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Frank Lollino, Jr., a former winning basketball coach at both the prep and community college levels, had been under CPS investigation for allegations made this semester by students at that selective enrollment school.

The $90,000-a-year gym and driver’s education teacher was accused of making suggestive sexual comments, according to complaints by some parents.
The tenured teacher was pulled from classroom instruction on Dec. 13 and reassigned to administrative duties within the school, according to CPS.

And as of Monday, he was off work with pay pending reassignment.

“This whole situation right now is so disheartening,” the 41-year-old Lollino said when reached at home Wednesday. “But I haven’t spoken to my attorney yet, so I don’t think it would be prudent to discuss this now.”

A CPS employee for 18 years, Lollino has never been charged with a crime.
And past similar allegations have not been sustained — only lesser misconduct.

“I’m extremely uncomfortable knowing my child is in the presence of somebody with this deep history of accusations and absolutely appalled that the Board has not acted,” complained one parent who asked not to be identified because of her teen.

CPS confirmed at least three parents over the course of the semester had formally requested their teens be removed from Lollino’s classes.

“These are serious allegations, and we are actively investigating,” a CPS spokesman responded to initial inquiries about these newest allegations.

Earlier this year, Lollino had been accused in a Cook County Circuit Court petition of requesting sex in exchange for rent payments and otherwise sexually harassing a basketball player at Morton College.

He’d been the part-time but highly successful men’s coach at Morton from 2006 until last year, when his contract expired and the college declined to renew it.

Former Morton student Patrick Terrell — charging Lollino’s harassment forced him to leave the school and give up scholarships — in January filed a petition for discovery against Lollino, Community College District 527 and the Chicago Board of Education. It was dismissed in March after the college successfully argued the petition was too wide-ranging, and a “fishing expedition.” No lawsuit was filed.

Lollino also faced similar allegations at Lane Tech in 2005.

After a successful run as varsity coach at Austin High from 1994 to 2001, he’d held the position at Lane until one of his players accused him of offering him money for sex, according to documents, which indicate a police investigation didn’t find the accusations credible enough to pursue criminal charges.

An ensuing Board investigation, however, found Lollino allowed players to sleep at his house the night before early morning trips, drove players home from practice without written parental permission, and also swore at players.

He was removed from the school, and CPS sought to fire him. But months later, an independent hearing officer ruled the Lane player’s allegations “highly suspect,” and said the other improprieties didn’t warrant firing.

Lollino was reinstated with back pay in May 2006 — but banned from coaching.

The new allegations were brought to CPS attention by parents of the students.

A warning resolution — signed by then Schools CEO Arne Duncan and adopted by the Board on May 24, 2006 — specifically provided that any future such misconduct by Lollino “will result in the preferring [sic] of dismissal charges.”

“Currently, Mr. Lollino has been pulled from the classroom and is not in contact with students,” the CPS spokesman reported this week. “He’s being pulled out of the building pending his further due process.”

NJ town to station armed cop at schools

Don’t mess with Marlboro Township.

The leafy, well-heeled New Jersey suburb will station a permanent armed cop in each of its nine schools starting Jan. 2.

It’s apparently the first district nationwide bent on packing heat in every schoolhouse since madman Adam Lanza gunned down 20 children and six adults at Sandy Hook Elementary in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14.

“We’ve made a collective decision as a town that we need armed security in each of our schools,” Mayor Jonathan Hornik told The Post.

“With this new evil, you can’t just sit there and hope that it doesn’t happen in your town. We must protect our kids.”

The mayor and other town officials had approved the initiative before the chief of the National Rifle Association ignited a firestorm on Friday by calling for armed guards for schools.

Besides putting a cop in each of its schools — one kindergarten, five elementary, two middle and one high school — Marlboro will consider fortifying entrances with steel doors and bulletproof glass and installing surveillance cameras “all over” to feed to the police department, Hornik said.

Cost won’t stand in the way of “state-of-the-art” safety, he added.

“This isn’t a luxury item. This is a necessity, based on what we saw happen in Connecticut,” said Hornik, a Democrat who supports an assault-weapons ban and stricter gun control.

The 40,000-resident Monmouth County town, home to many former Brooklynites and Staten Islanders, has taken groundbreaking safety measures before. In March 2001, it became one of the first towns in the nation to ban cellphone use while driving.

No other school districts in New York, New Jersey or Connecticut have decided to use guns to guard against an assault, officials said.

“If a district in New York state were to pursue that same solution — to bring armed police officers into the schools — we would support that decision,” said David Albert, spokesman for the New York School Boards Association.

But it won’t happen in New York City, said Department of Education spokeswoman Marge Feinberg, noting, “We are not considering having armed security officers in our buildings.”

The NYPD oversees 5,000 unarmed safety agents and staffs each city school with at least one. It also sends 350 armed cops to patrol and visit campuses — mostly junior and senior highs.

“On any given day, there are armed police officers assigned to schools. It’s not every school and not every day,” said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne.

He said the NYPD will step up efforts to detect danger signs, such as comments on public Web sites, to scope out potential killers.

Ed Massey, president of the National School Boards Association, said his home district in Boone County, Ky., took up arms in the late 1990s after Ryle HS junior Clay Shrout, 17, killed his mom, dad and two sisters, then used a handgun to hold his class hostage for hours. An assistant principal talked him into surrendering.

Each school or cluster of schools in the district has at least one armed cop on duty, and the community has embraced them, Massey said.

The cops “interact with students, respond to emergencies and deter bullying,” he said.

Despite an armed guard at Columbine HS, students Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold killed 15 and wounded 23 in their rampage in 1999. A sheriff’s officer outside the school exchanged fire with Harris but missed him.

Massey predicts others will follow Marlboro’s lead.

“This has rung an alarm bell in the boardroom of every school district in the nation,” he said.

"Marking the first anniversary of the shooting deaths at Columbine High School, President Clinton announced $120 million in new federal grants Saturday to place more police officers in schools and help even the youngest kids cope with their problems...

Clinton also unveiled the $60-million fifth round of funding for 'COPS in School,' a Justice Department program that helps pay the costs of placing police officers in schools to help make them safer for students and teachers. The money will be used to provide 452 officers in schools in more than 220 communities.

'Already, it has placed 2,200 officers in more than 1,000 communities across our nation, where they are heightening school safety as well as coaching sports and acting as mentors and mediators for kids in need,' Clinton said."

Dont we have on duty officers working in the high schools already? I would even give up some of my free time to sit at my kids school, unpaid, in a heartbeat.

It's called 'volunteering'. Go to the school and offer to do it.

No armed officers in schools? Come to 011 and see how many are assigned to the schools. At dismissal time see how many more have to respond to the schools for these fucking animals. Typical democratic hypocrasy. No we don't want guns for you, of course we can but not you, you don't need them. Texas here I come. Get me away from these fucking liberal savage hugging morons.

I agree with Rahm. Guns should be banned. We will begin by having all the aldermen give up their guns since this is an anti-gun sanctuary city. Lead by example. Alderman Mell can be the first since he has dozens of guns that lapsed before Daley granted a one time exeption to the annual registration rule.

Every CPS High School has 2 police officers in them all day, and a bunch of off duty cops working part time security in them as well. Why would these Democrats suggest that we should not have armed guards at every school? The ghetto dwellers have all sorts of taxpayer provided armed security at their schools, and in their neighborhoods. How come taxpayers don't deserve security?

How much $$$ is it costing for all those goofs all over the south and west sides in bright orange/yellow vests that say "CPS Community Watch" on the backs? I just know we (the taxpayers) are paying some big bucks for all those people.

One thing McInterview said today on WBBM At Issue w/Craig Dellimore, was he challellenged the bellyachers (Preckwinkle) who say too many minorities would be put in prison if the gun laws were tougher, adding "it would be better to have overcrowded prisons than overcrowded graveyards". He calls a Tribune report on crime false, weak gun laws in Illinois that give too much probation...who was it that just said Cook Co prosecutes all gun cases??? McWuh-Huh!!!
Depends who you ask...and remember, Gmac supports Phleger & Trayvon.

Instead of more armed guards, why not disarm and take away all weapons from criminals?

12/23/2012 08:16:00 AM

Yes! Why didn't we think of that before now?!
They'll willingly form up a line and politely turn in their weapons just because you suggested it.

Those wearing the orange vests at schools to take care of their own kids in the ghetto are actually getting PAID by a fed gov program ,,, i.e. taxpayers., Whereas non-minority folks take care of their kids to/from school as a parent should....and don't ask for the handout. Parents VOLUNTEER to be at the corners when the kids are let out and help with the school crossings, etc.

Fuck these hypocrites...

In Flaming Tutu's country of origin, the citizenry are strapped and full-auto "assault weapons" are openly carried in addition to these same weapons are OPENLY CARRIED by people GUARDING THE SCHOOLS!

Somebody pointed out that there are armed U of C Policemen at Lab where Flaming Tutu's seedlings attend...

*Fuck the little people... MY KIDS GET SECURITY REGARDLESS!*

Fuck you Rahm and doubly fuck you ass-hoe media for hysterically driving the yellow-pinky disarmament agenda.

These decayed-ass fucks are pissing in the sink and telling everyone they're actually washing the dishes...

Does ANY yellow pinky lib-tard care to chime in so we can watch in amusement as they turn themselves inside-out trying to explain away the hypocrisy?

The ONLY FUCKING DIFFERENCE is these fools who are setting this city on fire are too cowardly to strap on explosive belts or load cars with explosives and light the wick before running into a school or public place.

The all encompassing hatred of the rest of society and the worship of death and destruction are the things the Greater Urban Dooky-Bird has in common with the Bulge-Eyed Panty Bomber in the Middle East...

Drop a few thousand "assault weapons" ala "Fast & Furious" throughout the South and West sides... Along with some proof test rated ammo.

Sit back and laugh as the dead, maimed and blinded are found clutching weapons with barrels looking like flowers in bloom...

*Dude on a cane with a limp, a stutter, an eye-patch and a Rahm al Ghoul 9.5 salute*

Police: "Damn, fella! What happened to you?"

Dude: "Maaaannn! I Dunno! I found a gun an' all I saw was FI-YAH!"

*uncontrollable, little bitch-like crying*

Anyways...

These craven lefty pukes don't fear guns in the hands of shit-birds...

Their thinking is "That's what we have the Cops for."

They fear guns in the hands of upright, highly motivated and pissed-off citizens.

THOSE GUNS pose a grave and serious threat to the status quo...

Chicago and Illinois are your object lessons in a disarmed and subjugated tax base and electorate getting exactly what they voted for.

We'll soon see if our faith in the clarity of vision of rest of the republic is misplaced.

We just can't shake the feeling that "something is up" with the lib-tard yellow pinky demo-commiecratic concentration of power in mostly large urban centers of this country...

Large urban centers?

Spokes in the wheels of trade, commerce and transportation?

Hmmmmm...

Can't quite put our finger on it...

OMG shoot me now.

Gary is on the radio saying that people that tell you: "criminals will always find a way to get a gun " is nonsense.

He also implies that if assault weapons were banned that the mentally unstable guy in CT would of picked up a golf club or baseball bat instead and therefore the killings that occurred would of not happened.

Hahahah.

Gary implies that the shooter would skip over handguns, knives, swords, using his moms car to mow down kids outside the school, gasoline, a crossbow, or the hundreds of other materials that could be used as a weapon with equal or greater force to inflict mass casualties.

Nope. he would of got a baseball bat or golf club according to gary.

Now you want to talk about nonsense gary, we are not buying your line of nonsense.

Because of these dumb-azzes we now have people that were not even considering a gun or an assault weapon buying them. Nice job fool. You, the mayor, the governor, the president, all of them.

Is the crisis big enough for you to use yet whereas you can use it to start kicking in doors like in Nazi Germany looking for these evil weapons?

You forget gary. Chicago Banned handguns. Did they all disappear in the city or did the criminals find a way to bring them here and use them while the ban was in place?

People Wake Up already. There has always been different rules in place for the haves and the have nots.

I'm still waiting for another revolution. With the recent upsurge in demand for assault rifles and guns by citizens, it looks like there might be a new declararion of independence being drawn up very soon...

...and how many times have you seen video of a problem at the school where the 'orange vests' turn and walk the other way? Plenty! They are a complete waste of taxpayer money.

At our school, where we TAXPAYERS go, we have volunteers all over the place. We have parents that show up rain, snow or shine that run the car lane for the kids dropped off by working parents. We have parents in school everyday voluteering in the classrooms.

Best of all, now, we have lots of armed police parents keeping vigil. They come at the beginning of school. They come at the end. They drive by at all times during the day, extending their routes while out or just happening by. They even walk their dogs over there, just to check on things.

It's a community. We will not cower.

You must be unemployed. Or working six-hour days. Or you don't have kids in school.
Many of us in the real world have to be at work by the time you dictate we must personally drop our kids off in front of their schools.
I walked to school. I have no problem with the kids walking to school. And, if there are parent-volunteer crossing guards, I'm happy they're there.
