Hey, Where's Ours??

  • Police Commissioner Bill Bratton won’t let the NYCLU — or anyone else — bully him for details on the NYPD’s super-secret X-ray vans.

The top cop was asked Tuesday about the counter-terror vehicles, called Z Backscatter Vans, in light of the NYCLU’s request to file an amicus brief arguing that the NYPD should have to release records about the X-ray vans.

“They’re not used to scan people for weapons,” Bratton insisted. “The devices we have, the vehicles if you will, are all used lawfully and if the ACLU and others don’t think that’s the case, we’ll see them in court — where they’ll lose! At this time and the nature of what’s going on in the world, that concern of theirs is unfounded.”
And to think, our bosses sit down with the ACLU and develop ways to make coppers jobs harder.

In any event, where are our sooper-sekret x-ray specs....whoops...we meant...vans? Of course, we already have sick building that cause all sorts of unexplained cancer clusters in cops and firemen, so we probably don't need a nuclear device that might give cancer to citizens, too. It would probably dwarf the "brutality" settlements of late.

OK, here's the "super secret," from the manufacturer's web site.

That took ten seconds.

They do want to sell these things, you know.

The powers that be always refer to Chicago as a world class city, but don't properly invest in the equipment necessary to have a world class police department. I don't look at Chicago as likely a terrorist target as New York, but what if anything is Chicago doing to combat/prevent a terrorist attack? With all that New York does, I wonder if Chicago does 10% of the terrorism prevention that New York does.

I remember when they tried these in the airports. The poor TSA Schmuck was standing next to the machine for hours each day. No Dosimeter, no shielding, but most of all, No CLUE. We should start seeing the first cancers in another few years. Poor Bastards, and the government will deny everything.

"we'll see you in court where you will lose". Now THAT'S a boss. Here in Chicago the Command Staff would be shaking like a tree in a hurricane if the ACLU said something to them. Screw the anti-American,anti-decency,anti-everything that is good ACLU.

Oct 13, 2015 Rahm Emanuel on Monday stood by his contention that Chicago police officers are becoming "fetal" out of concern they will get in trouble for actions during arrests, blaming officers second-guessing themselves in the wake of high-profile incidents for rising crime rates in Chicago and elsewhere.

Last week, the mayor was part of a meeting in Washington, D.C., with Attorney General Loretta Lynch and a group of mayors and police officials from across the nation to discuss a spike in homicides and other crime.

"We have allowed our Police Department to get fetal, and it is having a direct consequence. They have pulled back from the ability to interdict … they don't want to be a news story themselves, they don't want their career ended early, and it's having an impact," Emanuel said, according to the Washington Post.

Well He's right about one thing

True the city bends over to screw coppers, and today another supposedly "tortured" felon is released from jail, you can bet your tax dollars, that the city council will invite him and his entire crew to the council chambers stand up and clap (all 50 in attendance), as they award this accuser no evidence millions more in our tax money!

We make a good salary, but the looking out with your head on a swivel, for the thugs attacking police, and then being thrown to the media whores and have your name destroyed, your freedom jeopardized, your pension taken, your family and home gone its not worth doing everything exactly as per the orders! Now with the contact card nonsense coming quickly 01JAN16 "Sorry boss my family is to important to listen to your stupid ideas!"

Remember the aclu was a communist front organization complete with community agitators and lots of court ordered activism. Their goal is to disrupt a civil society through their operatives lawyers in the courts and through the softer sounding community organizers or the former community agitators.

IDOT has one or two VACIS trucks (Vehicle And Cargo Inspection System) used mostly by the ISP to scan trucks, tankers, etc. for dead space that may be used to hide dope. Same shit used by US Customs at ports/borders.

My ISP buddies say that was some of the most boring shit they were assigned to do.

Old shit people, nothing to see. Move along. Tell the ACLU to hump ISP's leg now.

I'm afraid these devices will be harmful to my fetal profile.
And they cause kids to have behavioral problems in public school.
