Superintendent Larry Snelling to ask "Where's the (public) outrage?"
As Snelling's CPD detectives work to identify the shooter or shooters, the I-Team has learned that dozens and dozens of shots were fired from an automatic weapon. "The number, the number of shell casings that were found at that location for multiple weapons. Right now I believe the number is 76," Snelling said.
He said the spray of gunfire came from an automatic weapon. The guns most popular with street gang shooters these days are semi-auto pistols that have been illegally converted to machine-gun style weapons capable of rapid fire rounds that can unload dozens of shots in just seconds.
"I would really like to know where the outrage is for that. I really like to know where the outrage is for people in this city who had been victimized who had been traumatized who are going to continue to go through that trauma," he said. An impassioned career police officer, Snelling looks at what happened and can hardly believe the lack of citywide furor.
Larry knows exactly what the issue is, but he's way too political to actually say it. Some lives only matter when political headlines can be exploited from them. Otherwise, it's the racism of low expectations.
And it is amusing he specifically said "seventy-six" shots, knowing that we pointed out cops only fired seventy-nine of the "ninety-six" the media is running with after Dexter's magazine dump.

It's hilarious to me how the professional scumbags, also known as members of the mainstream media, tried so hard to make this piece of shit into George Floyd 2.0 and failed. You can see it in their sullen faces how disappointed they are because cities aren't burning.

No outrage for the other mass shootings within the corporate limits of Chicago that weekend with 10 killed dead & 62 wounded. Those shot in Chicago are dependable democrat voters requiring little or no maintenance while the privileged folks in Highland Park are vital lucrative Democrat Donor$ requiring undivided attention.
The media will blame the White police force for not responding faster because the 30 year old Officers used to live in the neighborhood and are mad that the current residents ruined it. The fire Commissioner who doesn’t live in the city will agree because she has the same problems with the White crews in Englewood who let vacant houses burn to the ground because those 30 year olds are mad too because they used to live in Englewood too.

Keith Freeman, the Dolton village administrator and a manager for Thornton Township, has been charged with bankruptcy fraud, according to a federal indictment, the U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago said Tuesday.
It’s alleged the 45-year-old Orland Park resident made false statements in his bankruptcy petition filed earlier this year to conceal from creditors his assets and sources of income and a significant claim against him.
The indictment alleges that during a meeting with his creditors, while Freeman was under oath, he falsely represented he was not an employee of Dolton and that he did not receive payment from Dolton, according to a news release from the U.S. attorney.
He is charged with one count of bankruptcy fraud and, if convicted, could be sentenced to up to five years in a federal prison, according to the news release.
Arraignment has not yet been scheduled.
Freeman earns some $100,000 a year from his Dolton job, and underreported his income in his 2022 federal tax return, according to the indictment.

Put a 100 round drum mag on a Glock with a switch and those hundred rounds are gone in under 6 seconds. The ones used by most gangs will typically have less than 50 round mags, probably the 33 round stick. So, those rounds can absolutely be fired in 2-3 seconds. You can find endless videos of this online, but you chose ignorance.

The Chicago Crime Commission (CCC) is up and has a website. It's loaded with all kinds of very important people and blah, blah blah. Yes, days off will be canceled. You know why? Because the department is down approximately 1500 in the patrol rank.
Summer holidays and events will force the Chief of Patrol to cancel days off just like all preceding Chiefs of Patrol. So enjoy your days off now while you have them. In just a few short months you won't!

I am long retired so I have been out of touch with what happens in the court system. But, it is my understanding that the CPD has confiscated over 400 of these converted Glocks pistols ( auto matic). What is happening to the mutts that had these guns? Are they being charged with felonies, possession of a automatic weapon> ?

The number of casings is notable because it lands close to the number of shots fired by police when, during a traffic stop, they sent 96 shots in the direction of a Chicagoan who had shot at police first. In that case, the number of bullets has received far more attention, especially from those focused on police reform. Ninety-six shots has appeared in headlines at home and abroad. The 76 shots? Not so much. That’s how it goes in today’s upside-down Chicago. Police responding defensively, if that’s the word, are getting more media and political scrutiny than gangbangers unloading their weapons on innocent little kids.
Why? Progressive forces are in power at City Hall, and anyone railing at police knows they will have a lot of immediate company when it comes to expressing the preferred narrative. It’s the easiest kind of outrage for them to express. The necessary conversation after what happened on West 52nd Street is much more challenging for progressives, since it reflects the clear but often unspoken reality that Chicago’s gang problem is spiraling out of control. Snelling knows that all too well, but his “Where is the outrage?” didn’t get a lot of traction. He probably knew it would not.
Sam should sponsee midnight target practice. Shocking YES, but if the animals learn to shoot better then logical thinking would say they will whack each other & lower the crime rate. Maybe Toni (the black QTip) could reverse the bullet tax & give free pizzas to whatever gang shoots their targets ONLY no collateral damage. Maybe looking at this from a ludicrous angle is the way to go. No jail for banger who shoots the person disrespectin him. But for every non banger injury 5 years in the slammer no bail & no good behavior shit. Then add tiers into it. 20 dead bangers W/O an innocent casualty a free box of ammo. You can make up your own rules (just like every politician in Crook Co.) with all the death & destruction, we as normal citizens should try & make it fun?????
