Airing out all sorts of unsustained allegations:
- The five Chicago police officers involved in the fatal shooting of Dexter Reed after his SUV was pulled over have been investigated a combined 41 times since 2019, with many of those complaints stemming from traffic stops.
Not a single sustained allegation by the way.
But this particular article doesn't once mention Dexter's previous weapon arrest. Why the double standard? If we're throwing out unsustained allegations, then a previous gun arrest deserves mention, along with alleged PPP fraud, right? Especially a gun arrest at a rather large public gathering where hundreds of innocent people (and folks) were potentially in danger!
The Slum Times also quotes the fake ACLU (All Criminals Love Us) stats regarding traffic stops:
- The American Civil Liberties Union last year filed a lawsuit against the Chicago Police Department claiming officers make a disproportionate number of traffic stops in predominantly Black and Latino neighborhoods.
To which we simply reply:
Cops go to where the crime is....and crime is (cough cough) disproportionate.

Not sure why the media is so obsessed with these coppers CR numbers. Here’s the thing about police work, people get pissed off when they get stopped by the police and they complain. People get pissed off when they get arrested by the police and they complain. Lawyers have been known to advise clients prior to going to court to get a CR number on the police, so they have some sort of defense. With that being said you no longer have to give sign a signed affidavit or even identify yourself when getting a CR on the police, so it’s that much easier to complain and just because you’ve made a complaint doesn’t mean it’s valid. When I used to go to court the judges would ask for background info on a defendant and sometimes the state would tell the judge that there’s no publishable background. That didn’t mean the defendant has never been arrested it meant there’s no convictions. None of these coppers have had sustained CR numbers. The fact that the media is completely disregarding the fact that Dexter Reed not only had a gun , but he fired his gun and shot a police officer is mind boggling. Why are you giving this asshole a pass and putting his actions on the back burner and focusing on how many complaints and how many rounds were fired. All this is bull shit. You should be hailing these coppers as heroes, because I guarantee you they prevented a shooting when they stopped Dexter. Ask yourself why Dexter is wearing a mask that completely covers his face and why does he have a gun on him.

At issue is the inability of so many police involved in this mess, to properly articulate reasonable suspicion for the stop. We uh stopped him because he uh wasn’t wearing a seatbelt. I know you guys are about Don Jerome but let's remember one thing. He is also meritorious. I worked in 25 when he was there. At best, a mediocre sergeant. Other sergeants had to pick up the slack for him. Yes, he was an excellent police officer, but not a supervisor. I know someone will jump on this but I am going to say it anyway. He can't even read the order where to put his rank insignia on his collar. He Don, you didn't earn the spot, you were given it. At least wear the uniform correctly. Maybe I'm being too harsh. Even Ursitti can't figure out how to wear her stars on her collar. Must be tough reading an order when you get rank.

I did the math too and uh let's see: 41 ÷5 = 8.2. OK 8.2 for each officer. Now since 2019? OK, 8.2 ÷ 5 = 1.64. So that roughly 1.64 investigations each per year. WOW stop the presses. We got some reeeeallly bad eggs here! And according to their own sources, none went anywhere.

When I would drive home from whatever set they picked (think South, West sides) we would have security & police on & near set but when we left depending on where I would almost always get pulled over I think it was 14 times in 23 days. The officer would walk up & say you crossed the double yellow or you were going a little fast ( bet your ass I was moving a little fast moving targets harder to hit) anyway a few questions & ALWAYS a check on my license & insurance & I was let go. I would tell the officer you pulled me over because I’m White in a shitty neighborhood?? The officer always said no BUT I know better, I was out of place! Something I am SURE all officers watch for! there’s a comment above about I pulled over white guys at 2AM. I am sure they tagged me & you know what….. it wasn’t profiling it was good police work & I'm NOT the Police!! But even I know if something is out of the norms you check it out. Often the 1st words were whores or dope what are you buying/looking for?
