Useless Quotes and Ideas

Fancy names and words:

  • Chicago police officials have unveiled a "four-pillar plan" to address car thefts and robberies, which have remained stubbornly high in recent years.

Police officials joined Mayor Brandon Johnson and Ald. Pat Dowell (3rd) on Friday to announce the plan, which utilizes technology, focus missions, public engagement and accountability, Chicago Police Supt. Larry Snelling told reporters at Public Safety Headquarters, 3510 S. Michigan Ave.

To quote Inigo Montoya, "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." "Accountability" means punishment and jail time....something impossible in the era of Crimesha and very unlikely with democrats in charge of anything.

[edit from the comments] Technology? You mean like....Shotspotter?

  • Snelling announced a partnership with Hyundai and Kia to host vehicle safety days during the first week of May at Guaranteed Rate Field where eligible owners can get software updates to help prevent vehicle thefts.

Along with the updates, vehicle owners can also receive catalytic converter etchings and steering wheel clubs.

"We want to be proactive and not just reactive when these crimes occur," Snelling said.

Software updates? Meh.

Etchings? Prevents nothing.

Steering wheel clubs? Ten second delay at most.

Proactive, not reactive? You mean like....traffic stops? Pursuits? Arrests?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You and your handlers are trying to crucify a bunch of cops this whole week for being proactive. Or have you forgotten?

  • The department is utilizing license plate readers and pod cameras to help identify offenders and collect video evidence to include when releasing community alerts, which can generate tips and information to help aid an investigation.

"These community alerts are put out in the hopes that those with information come forward," Antoinette Ursitti, chief of detectives, said at the press conference. "With most of these crimes, someone out there knows something."

Have you seen the "Alerts" after the media censors the ever-loving piss out of them?

  • Beware of males, traveling in pairs.

Real f#$%ing helpful there Antoinette.

  • Citywide motor vehicle thefts through the end of March dropped nearly 24% — from 7,314 to 5,594 — compared to last year while robberies remained roughly the same, according to police data.

That's still sixty-one car thefts PER DAY.

We've seen a lot of incompetency in our nearly finished career, spanning parts of four decades now, but this crew is taking the cake.

Why do Chicago police wear hats inside?? My time in the military taught me never wear cover under cover so why?? Are we vane & don’t want anyone to see we are losing/lost our hair????

Next, all these “proactive” steps yet nothing was said about what happens when the license plate reader identifies a stolen/hijacked (why don’t they say car jacked….. HHMMM a question for another day) so the reader says stolen car at such & such. When the police turn on their lights & the hijacked car flees then what? Right back where we are now?? Nice speech too bad I didn’t read it in the newspaper at least I’d have wiping material in case I’m out? WTF always a great solution W/O any actual thought put into it.

Buy a gun, get your CCL & insurance. The police have a city that will crumble & pay when the family sues. Sharpshooter citizen must protect himself W/ insurance he must buy. A small price to pay for COMPLETE protection

A taste of the real world, in the past rarely touching so many, via the rational policings practiced then, is now the common peril to those not at all prepared for this shift in their evirons.

When and where sufficient confidence in an effective, reliable deterence to violent actions is waning, said deterence being the only actions providing the formerly reliable perception of significant safety of said environs, violences will proliferate.

The equation, less police actions = more criminal violent actions, is now a perception being exprienced by the formerly virgin to violence populace.

All of the causative usual suspects are being proven to be no longer suspects. They are guilty. Not allegedly guilty. Blantantly guilty. In our faces, down our throats and up our asses guilty.

Take the fucking and keep on sucking, no longer virgins to violence populace.

You have earned this by choosing this.

Time to install the Backseat Monkey that can be ordered with either a Louisville Slugger or a sap. For a small added cost you get two of either option so the Backseat Monkey can have one for each hand thereby not missing a swing, clobbering the hell out of the driver and if necessary the passenger. Hurry supplies are limited. And if you order the Backseat Monkey in the next 30 minutes, you can order a second Backseat Monkey with free options for half price. Enter code: beat the daylights out of the POS.

This is a crock of CAPS talk. First of all it would be a waste of time and manpower to arrest anyone since the passage of the Safe-T-Act, the lack of prosecutions in the current State’s Attorney Office, the lack luster performance of the Courts. You also need a Mayor and Superintendent to say there will be zero tolerance for every law and that they will back up the police one hundred percent. Until they do that you will not get much from the police who afraid that if they make an honest mistake they will be suspended or be imprisoned. Right now the police are, “running in place” and “treading water”.

All of named actions are just feel good rhetoric to make people feel good and safe. And there will be a lot of paperwork to document this grand plan which will mean nothing.

In the past there were details, undercover, decoy by various units. The goal was simple, catch the offenders, and arrest them and keep on it until they were caught. From the time I came on to the time I left the job really dumbed down. There has been so much lost over the years.

Wgn describes Brandon’s plan read this absolutely nothing because Brandon has zero in the brains department:

https://wgntv.com/news/chicago-news/mayor-johnson-city-leaders-to-outline-strategy-to-address-and-prevent-robberies-in-chicago/

Here’s a novel concept how about opening the easy to read law book and arrest prosecution of the felons, put them in prison wow what a deterrent. When you have a trust fund baby governor that always was coddled and had protection provided by billionaires his parents your clueless. You democrats have totally ruined the lawful society we had during President Trumps presidency now you’re terrorizing him and his family with lies in court cases! Jb signed the no cash bail deal and states attorneys refusing to do the job along with judges all should be shown the door, will never happen in the most corrupt city state county in the United States 🇺🇸. People idiots that are delusional still give money to democrats how incredibly incompetent and absolutely insane can anyone be? If we actually had a media that was independent that would help also, but they are owned like slaves to the democratic system. All we have left is God who has removed his hand from this country for all that is happening like ruining children’s lives with trans nonsense cutting off body parts drugging so many, indoctrinated into false narratives at cps indoctrination centers. This makes doctor Josef Rudolf Mengele of hitlers regime who experimented on people look like a high school science class, compared to what they are allowing to be done to children! Only solution drop on your knees open the Bible and Pray immediately God help us all, and God bless the Police amen.

Drones would be the best tool. You can hover over areas forever (I'm not talking about minority areas -- I know that wouldn't fly -- I'm talking about white areas likely to experience crime), follow offenders with them not even knowing they're being followed (cutting down on high-speed chases) and use them as first responders to assess dangerous situations. Thousands of departments are using them in the US, but the pro-crime ACLU, Pritzker and Conehead will only allow them for large events.

I looked up a Juvi that I locked up last Summer for his first arrest at 14 years for a agg vehicular hijacking (go big first time) that ended up in a chase with state and a crash ! No idea what happened at juvenile court (closely guarded secrets), but he has been locked up 7 times since getting caught in stolen cars and more robbery charges !
I'm no rocket scientist but that may be one of the issues !!
Also most of the POD cameras are reaching their end of life cycle and are no longer functioning but they are just not getting replaced !

Add a laser tagger, just powerful enough to, briefly activated, burn a bit that tiny focused spot it hits.

Perhaps powerful enough so that a 1/10 of a second burst would be effective, to mark a specific, video captured spot upon anywhere on the vehicle/offender/etc. that can be proof of that specific vehicle/offender better than the video image.

A distinct, and matching to specic targeted location on video, laser burst burn mark would be something to thwart the now commonly socially accepted face maskings.

After all, these drones are not solely useful to eyeball sunbathers

Robbery missions? What are the rules of engagement Larry? No vehicle pursuits, no foot pursuits, no display of weapons, no pre-texual vehicle stops, no street stops, no confrontation with any suspects? I'm sure that the ACLU, COPA and robbery offenders would agree with all those limitations.

The days of the Frank Pape robbery missions are long gone.

Chicago police wear hats indoors because they can. It's not the military or anything close to it. It says hijacked because it's vehicular hijacking, which is also called carjacking. The "jacking" part is just a shortened form of the word hijacking."

Good thought but not feasible. Who is going to control and remote fly them? When you identify the offenders police still have to apprehend them , therefore a car chase. Most of these crimes occurred on 1st watch, tact teams are home and midnights has no manpower.

This is what happens when incompetent people become your boss. All of the top command positions are filled by hacks. Ursitti is very likely the least competent Chief of Detectives that ever held that position. Never the police, never a detective, always had inside job. I highly doubt that she has ever completed an arrest report on her own, she never put cuffs on a bad guy; never recovered a weapon from ole boy or locked up a crew in a hot car. Now, that said: she was never involved in a vehicle pursuit or a foot chase. Never! I have been involved in literally hundreds of arrests for damn near everything under the sun. I am not unlike a lot of you. Not bragging just saying. Did I get any meritorious promotions? Hell, no! So, the lesson of the day is as follows: Don't do any proactive shit. Respond to your jobs, cut paper, back up fellow officers and get the hell back in the hole. Respond to bosses with a "yes Sir", hell even most of the female bosses would get damp panties if you said that to them so say it to all. Stay in your lane, relax, retire, collect pension. Class over.

In response to an earlier post about why police wear hats indoors because the writer says he wasn’t allowed to during his service: Army Regulations have always allowed for soldiers who were “under arms in an official capacity” to wear hats indoors. In the Army, Covers ( whether Garrison Cap, Service Cap, Beret, Patrol Cap/ Baseball Cap, or Helmet) remain ON when Indoors IF the Soldier is ARMED ( whether with Pistol or Rifle).
Obviously, a Soldier cannot fight if he is holding his Cover in his off-hand.

"BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. You and your handlers are trying to crucify a bunch of cops this whole week for being proactive. Or have you forgotten?"

Very few (none?) of us signed up for CPD to be dogs, but in this policing environment, being purely reactive is the way to go. Even if/when you do HAVE to act, take the minimal action to (1) save the lives of you & your partner, (2) save your freedom from people who want to imprison you, and (3) save your job.

I get that it's hard to step aside when the very reason you became a cop was to uphold the law, but your #1 responsibility is to yourself and your family. Sitting in jail as a political sacrifice will not address that responsibility.

Come DNC time be particularly mindful of this. The media from around the world will have all eyes upon you, looking for something reminiscent of the 1968 DNC. Don't give it to them.

Instead be the Capitol Cop during the "insurrection;" "Right this way sir..."
