Dead PODs
Anyone know if there's a current listing of:
- POD camera locations, and
- POD cameras out of service?
Someone emailed us (and someone else commented) that many POD cameras are reaching the end of their effective lifespans (not to mention warranty expiration for parts) and the inoperative status is far past 25% non-functional, approaching 33%.
And Conehead is earmarking $70 million for illegals with almost nothing budgeted for POD maintenance, repair or replacement.
You know the media won't be asking anything like this.

POD cameras are RACIST like ShotSpotters.
Get rid of them and give at least every Democrat ONE BILLION dollars in reparations.

All the pods are disproportionately placed in black and brown neighborhoods. They need to put them in white neighborhoods to. Where is the ACLU???
The original versions of these were built in the early 2000’s mostly with commercial, off the shelf IT components inside a reasonably durable plastic box. I don’t know how many of those are still out there, nor do I know if they’ve been updated since, but there’s no IT gear that you could buy over 20 years ago and expect it to still work.
I am going to give brandon johnson a word of warning. Give up being mayor, you suck at it, really suck. Now, if you can understand this, nobody gives a fuck that your black, seriously dude. When POD video cannot be retrieved during a crime, especially a police involved shooting, everyone will cry “conspiracy”.

Well once again SCC you let Rich Guidice off the hook. Not only did he know the life span of certain cameras, but he also neglected to get them back on-line. The number of cameras that are out across the city is staggering. Now Rich looks like a Rock Star.

When they first came out, each one had a flashing blue strobe light. I guess it looked bad as more and more were needed in such close proximity to one another. It has gotten to the point where shitheads either forgot about pods or don’t care but it’s fun to watch them sell dope right underneath them.
It's magic "not my" money! Who knows? We don't and the state sure doesn't know either.....
