$250 Fine?

A $250 fine for not completing Ethics Training?
First of all, it's an un-failable test. If you get a wrong answer, you just go back and click the other box to go forward. The biggest hassle was the embedded videos and they got rid of those a year or two ago.
Second, we used to post the answers here because it was a complete joke. And back in the Districts, we would post the fastest time on the bulletin board as sort of a challenge to the Watch.
Third, we're pretty sure there are Contractual Rules that forbid monetary fines as discipline for this bullshit. That's why we have a SPAR system. So unless something changed, they can take that threat and stick it where the sun don't shine.

I remember a few years ago when city got all kinds of crazy about the ethics test? That was until a large group of exempt ranks just failed to take the silly test? So the IAD boss had to make lots of noise in emails? Someone should FOIA regarding these bosses not even following the ethics rules? Like working for White Sox, Bears, Cubs, Bulls………or having business that operate in city limits with licenses secured from State, County or city? But there is ethics? Just like crime is down? Only if it’s not reported!
How ethical would it be if I allowed my nefyoo to sling dope out of my personal vehicle? And when pulled over and arrested I advised him to run his mouth and tell the officers “muh unt be yo’ bozz”.

To click through all the slides in any e learning modules press tab and enter at the same time. This includes slides with videos. Only thing you can’t do it for is any pre or post tests.
I actually like the fine. Make it $1,000.00. But make sure that anytime Conehead uses the words black man he has to personally pay $1,000.00.
The test is laughable and doesn’t really pertain to police work. It’s really just for corrupt city hall types. And as history shows they disregard anything on that test and do it anyway. So they must all fail it every year, don’t even take it or disregard it?

I know. Few top brass that should pay that fine. It’s obvious that they didn’t complete the Ethics Training.
Gotta make up that budget gap somehow. Should of made it a $300 million fine, problem solved. What a joke!!!
I’ve heard of no pay status, I’ve heard of administering spars and initiating log numbers, but monetary fines, I’m not sure about that one.
Go down on the radio for ethics training, get your coffee, find a computer off the beaten path. Then take the training. Take your time, get things right.
