No Politicians Invited
- The family of slain Chicago Police Officer Enrique Martinez does not
want Mayor Brandon Johnson or Gov. JB Pritzker to attend his funeral
next Monday. That’s according to a video message posted by John
Catanzara, president of the police union, representing Chicago’s
front-line “blue shirt” cops.
The union boss called Martinez “yet another bright star” of the department’s future “snatched way too soon by a piece of garbage who should’ve never been on the street.”
Officials have said Darion McMillian killed Martinez and the driver of a vehicle McMillian was riding in by spraying automatic gunfire during a traffic stop on November 4. He was on electronic monitoring for matters pending in Will County and cut off his ankle bracelet while trying to run away from cops, prosecutors said.
Catanzara said Martinez’s family made it “very clear” that they do not want the mayor or governor to attend. While the governor quickly acknowledged and honored the request, Catanzara claimed Johnson had not done so.
Conehead is a classless buffoon and tried to force attendance at a previous Line of Duty wake and funeral with assorted brass threatening P.O.s and the 35th street tools hinting that they might revoke the Honors Funeral if Conehead wasn't allowed to pose and preen.
Funeral Info:
The wake for Officer Martinez will be Sunday Nov. 17 from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home in Oak Lawn. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday Nov. 18 at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel in Chicago.

Politicians offer nothing at those funerals. For decades they have used the pulpit to espouse their political rhetoric focusing on their re electability, and throw in a bullet point of sacrifice and sadness to justify their existence there. Telling coppers and firefighters, copper family and other politicians what they think, what they want to do and what they will try, blah, blah, blah, is futile since we all know what they've done or failed to do, but they could care less since they all know there is a media crew out there somewhere listening. It's shameful really. If as a citizen they would choose to attend and pay their respect they should choose to wait in the line, say a prayer, acknowledge whatever deity they choose on behalf of the officer and kindly express their sorrow and sadness for his or her family. Showing up; usually last minute and getting an armed formal escort into the services, cutting off everyone else who has been waiting in line, possibly for hours is pathetic and should be banned. They act as if they are important or hold some level of nobility. So no, wait like everyone else. the only ones who get escorted and moved in front should be the officers immediate family. If they were to show up, put them in line with everyone else, and station a family representative with the family to ensure they get the same thirty seconds to express their condolences and move them out. If you pay attention at the wake and funeral, these politicians never really genuinely embrace the family anyway, they give the the fingertip handshake down the line and walk out. Did I say pathetic before, I believe I did. Yep, pathetic. Tell them they're not welcome, and we'll see if they show up and get in line. And perhaps someone from the FOP should inform the funeral home staff and St. Rita School venue which specific politicians are not wanted or welcome so they can have their staff properly handle the situation. It's their facility and they have the obligation and the right to decline their presence and have them removed.

Family made the right decision ,fat man and Conehead are both on record that they will continue to protect the Rights Of Illegal Immigrants and other protected groups. Both have been doing that. Yes they have armed sworn police officers to protect them and Family members. Yet Police,CFD,businesses,everyone that lives in Chicago,visits Chicago are likely to become victims of violent crimes. Many victims are children of color gunned down,forced into gangs,car jacked,sexual assaults ,young suburban boy murdered ,friend shot,robbed while walking to a concert. More of us are victims than the illegals . Fat man ,Conehead are not in danger,both support blm,defund police. Keep electing them,you or a family member may be the next victim. I would branch out and add Officer Luis Huesca to the list. Huesca served with the department for six years before he was murdered by the same type of perp. He was just two days shy of his 31st birthday.
Young officers are losing their lives when faced with danger. Some might say that they’ll have explore the risk of second guessing themselves which may result in losing their lives, than to face being stripped and having to fight to get their jobs back.
