- Federal authorities have charged a New York woman with smuggling 31 pounds of cocaine into the United States in the seat of her electric wheelchair. Elaine Perez was arrested at O’Hare International Airport on Saturday as she entered the country on a flight from Sao Paulo, Brazil, according to a criminal complaint filed Monday.
And not her first rodeo it seems:
- Incredibly, Perez was previously convicted of federal cocaine smuggling charges for bringing more than 6 pounds of cocaine on a flight to New York City from Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, in 2021.
She's obviously bad at this. And exactly how much time did she get for the first six pounds? Time served after arrest - nine months total.
Too bad the drooling vegetable left without making her one of those "non-violent drug offenders."

I don't think it's going to go as smooth as she thought or was told it would. She must have REALLY needed the money.
The drooling vegetable needs to be subpoenaed and jailed.

None. Convicted felons are not prohibited from flying. The list she was on was the one listing convicted drug smugglers and that’s why they cut open the seat of the wheelchair. Sounds like good work by DSH to me.
Not if she keeps her mouth shut like she did last time.
It's a win- win for her. If she makes it she gets paid. If she gets caught she gets 3/4 years of the best medical care, a minimum security prison with her own private wheelchair accessible room and three meals (with snacks). When she gets paroled they're giving her a brand new wheelchair and very possible "hardship" citizenship so she won't get deported. Fuck you. Pay me.

Maybe next time, you won't hide the drugs under your seat.
(and, Yes, there will be a next time because the Dims in Springfield will legalize cocaine just like they did pot...assuming she is the right color/gender/political party.)
